Wow. A true treasure hoard! What’s amazing is that you managed to hold on to so many of the original items from your youth. I also have been fortunate to have 40-plus years of games in my collection. You have some very wonderful items. Thank you for sharing the guided tour.

Nice to see Traveller on your shelf. I was a regular gaming friend of Frank Chadwick about 13 years ago. Never knew he was part of the team that made the game until I got into Traveller a few years ago hah. Core Worlds is a great deck building game! One of my favorites to play. You have a nice collection of games!

This was pretty close to watching someone else go through my game shelves, but I suppose every old school grognard will get that feeling. I felt a few twinges of envy, too. 😁

Beautiful video I don't have nearly as much older D&D stuff as this but as far as ttrpgs I do have a much larger collection than this but still gorgeous collection and wish I had all this beautiful older products makes me feel so nostalgic for those days when I was in my early teens playing AD&D 2e.

Thanks much! I used to have a much larger collection, but sold off a ton of stuff a couple of years ago. I wanted to trim it down to things I might conceivably play, or just reference, in the future.

17:16 "You're probably more interested in the RPG stuff..." Not necessarily! Anyway, I loved this video. And yes, we played a ton of "Dune" in high school!

Excellent. I've been wondering what was back there for quite a few vids now. Glad you did this. Thanks!

Interesting how similar that is to my collection - including some of the board games - Valley of the 4 Winds (great nostalgia).

With your wargame and rpg background, I was surprised not to see Twilight 2000 in your collection.

That ended up in the "sell" pile a year or two ago. We played it a little back in the day, but it's not really something I envision playing again.

I see that your board wargame collection is mostly just as old-school as your RPGs. Which is fine. My first wargame was also Tactics II; me & my brother got that about the same time as we got the red-box D&D Basic Set.

Well that's one hell of a collection ! Lovely video. I noticed these Living Greyhawk books you didnt mention :) You must really hate this take on Greyhawk, can't wait for your 1 hour video on this era haha Cheers !

Yeah, I'm really not a LG fan. I will do a video on the subject some day; it'll take more than a bit of research.

Lol! I doubt the items in my poor collection are museum-quality. They've been used for play and research for 40+ years, and are showing the wear of years.

Incredible collection! I love looking at other people’s collections to see what I’m missing. Turns out I’m just missing a few things with AD&D. Also have you done a video covering Blackmoor? I’ve always been intrigued by it.

No, but doing one on Blackmoor-in-Greyhawk is on the list, eventually.

Awesome! Funny, I just bought a second WoG box set as my first one had no maps or box (lol) - so I gave away the "extra" books! Didn't see any 3e books there - did I miss them? Nice ToEE set too.

Nope, I skipped over 3.x and 4E. I do play 5E, but 1E (and my own retro-game, Adventures Dark and Deep) is my go-to.

Hardbacks you need extra for the table. Yours are worn and used so not hoarding. What I hate is when people buy up every copy they see to drive the prices up. Noone needs 29 Greyhawk box sets. That's hoarding
