Contorted leaves can also be caused by not enough light! For some plants in your mom's collection, I really do think is the issue or at least part of it. Especially for plants like the Cream Splash.

Your mum is literally so sweet, and so awesome she's also a full-on plant parent! My mum adores houseplants but always forgets about them, so I'm always coming home to find dead ones and she's like "I know I tried so hard to save it" when it clearly hasn't been watered in about 6 months 😂💚

This was the sweetest video. Bless your mom. ❤️ Love seeing plant care from someone who's not deep in the plant world. We don't have to be perfect, we just need to have love for our plants and try our best. I think we all get stubborn and can be in denial about pests or sickly plants. I hope you were able to help her with some of her planty problems. Such a struggle when "Mom knows best" 🤦‍♀️
