It's so great. Early Doobie Brothers before the 1st album would love to hear and own. Hard to find in searches I have done. Golden Earring early records are fantastic and love them of all and all that I have heard and selections to enjoy I have off the web. Govt Mule Dark Side Of The Mule Super Deluxe would like to get. Jimi Hendrix really nice stuff!!!🎸 I have a host of Hendrix just not near like that but been a fan since 67. Got my collectibles of his rare live and such. And host of studio. And I could go on with the amazing cds Pete that have gotten that I see that he has. So love the content. And well it is nice that we can share what we have and love about music that bonds people together even if we have differing opinions we can enjoy discussing civil like and get along very well with integrity and be peaceful. Which is what I like with good people that do that here, Be waiting for next part Pete as well as everyone else. Thanks and Take Care. Cheers!👍

Pete, glad to see you have all those Faces CDs, they were one of my favorite bands in the early 70s.
@treff92262 жыл бұрын
Faces were aces! So loose and rockin', perfect drinking, kick out the jams, music! And the band had only one rule - never be sober. People should never forget the amazing voice of young Rod Stewart, the grit and gravel in his vocals elevated anything he did to elite level! Some folks like Faces over the Stones, they were that good! Great mention!

Nice collection there, we share the same discographies, Eloy, Dream Theater ELP, Grand Funk, Helloween and many more. As you said I have to keep half of my cds in a storage room. Now the early recordings of the Doobie Brothers were released by a Greek Newspaper in a series of Legends of Rock. They did so with many classic rock bands. We can find them in second hand stores here in Athens for 1 or 2 dollars.

I always though the Rick Derringer Live was one of those live albums that put the artist over the top. At about the time of that album he opened for Zep and many said, "blew them off the stage". ...Oakland "Day on the Green" 1977..
@treff92262 жыл бұрын
Derringer Live puts Rick in his element, just spraying out burnin' solo after solo, with sick tone and clever riffs....I knew he was a great player, but NOT this good! Rick is one of those guitarists who never plays a bum note, his sense of rock/blues history is a constant in his playing, always melodic and well put together🎸🎸🎸. He and Edgar Winter (and Johnny) were quite a team! Great post!
@wolf19772 жыл бұрын
Probably my first real intro into Derringer when I heard some of these lie tracks on radio. Then had to investigate further of course! Great session guy too (Steely Dan/Donald Fagen, Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper, Johnny Winter etc). Derringer, Bogert & Appice was an interesting band but short-lived

Greetings from Poland :) Great great collection :) congratulations! I need to show my wife so she'll stop thinking I'm the last person buying cds and vinyls :) :) During your presentation, I saw the AudioFidelity releases (Heart and something else) - they're pretty much the few remasters you could buy without risk - great sound quality, although damn expensive in my country (unfortunately I'm an audiophile so usually the first cd releases are my holy grail - to hell with bonuses). And by the way - I really like (love?) your channel and these chats about music. I just have to be honest that I often don't understand what your guests or co-hosts are saying. As if in English, and as if not in English... ;) :) :)

The Doobie Brothers Compilation is a greek one and it was given away with a newspaper(!) somewhere in 1996 even if that sounds crazy to you. It was properly licensed from San Juan Music Group - so technically not a bootleg - that had the rights for this material. Fnac Music did the same thing a little earlier in France (1993ish) but the French version does not include "Song To J.C.". Only the greek version has that one.

Pete's taste is very different than mine, I´m more like an alternative rock, post punk guy so favorite D bands would be Devo and the Damned and my E of course has all the Echo and the Bunnymen but still I have like 3 Dream Theater CDS and 3 Epica's, all the first few Dio albums on LP as well as most Doors, ELO and ELP. So there is some overlap. Pete's collection is very complete on prog metal and trash, I like that. Would love to have more stuff like that on LP myself.
