I was looking for an outdoor camera to keep an eye on my dogs in the yard when I'm not home. kzbin.infoUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe Tried a different one that was absolutely terrible, so I got these instead. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.

I preordered the kit and added some extra sensors. So far I am very happy with it. One time I didn't put in my code fast enough and immediately got a text and a call from Noonlight to see if everything was ok (she even named the sensor that triggered it!). I'm also impressed that the motion sensor actually works the way it's supposed to: it never detects my dog or cats, only people. My only complaints so far: 1) Please upgrade the siren, it is NOT nearly loud enough even on the highest setting. 2) Please add a cellular backup option in case wifi is lost. 3) Please add different settings for each sensor. Example: On Away mode, I'd like to have 30 seconds to disarm if my front door is opened, but have it immediately trigger the alarm if a window is opened. Currently there is only one time setting that covers every sensor. All in all, I am very happy with it and want to thank Wyze for continuing to make such great affordable home security. I own several of your cameras and continue to recommend them to everyone.

I just installed the system, easy and works great! I have a couple comments: I don't think when you select "Home" mode that that there should be any sort of alarm as if I turn this on when I am going to bed, I don't want to hear that or wake others up. Secondly with the magnet part of the the entry sensors on the doors, the adhesive really doesn't work well because of the humidity. A couple of them hung down and almost set of the alarm, you should have the option of screwing them to the surface. I love your products and have many of them! Thanks Dave!!

My only regret is getting the V2 cameras first. I now own 6 V2’s and 3 V3’s. I replaced my problem areas with V3’s. Poorly lit areas the V2 will struggle with a short range ir ability. V3’s are great all around.

@@dantonel The great news is that Wyze will allow anyone to be a Beta Tester! Follow the instructions here: wyze.com/become-a-beta-tester (FYI I don't work for Wyze at all, I am just a a customer/beta tester myself) Right now on the beta version they have added 1 tone for sensors to beep on the hub when opened. I am hoping they'll soon add more tones so we can set different sensors to have different beeps. :) Also, if you have an Alexa speaker, you can set up Alexa to beep with different sounds for each sensor even without doing betatesting for Wyze. That's how I have been doing it before Wyze just added this to Beta.

Are you guys working on having this still work when off of Wi-Fi and or electricity for any period of time? If so, when do you expect to be able to have this feature? @@JimValdes Hi Jim. He said it runs on battery backup so if power were to go out, it would still work. The sensors would still trigger the siren. The siren will still go off and you’d be able to be alerted of an emergency. It however will not call the home monitoring center if the alarm goes off and the power is out. It needs Internet connection to be able to do that.

You can get an external battery backup and attach all the essential devices to it (Router, switches, WAPs, Wyze Hub and cameras, etc).

Get a UPS Uninteruptable Power Supply and plug in your modem, router and wyze hub so your internet connection will still work and the police can still be dispatched in the event of a power loss.

I’m a fan of your products. However will this system have an option for cellular? Cutting a home’s internet connection outside of the home takes about 5 seconds. If not, and someone cuts your internet just before “entering”, hopefully you will be able to call 911 yourself.

Bought the system after i saw this video, worked a few months then I did a firmware update on the hub and the monitoring tab in the app only shows a blank white screen. So i’m out $100 and there have been no updates to fix this! Thanks Wyze, really got me good. Dave can you just ask them to fix the app or firmware or both???

If the alarm is not set do the sensor provide any sound feedback if a door is opened, like a ding or something? Or does the system have to be alarmed for any sensor to make a sound with that loud siren that goes off?

I am a long time Wyze customer. Preordered this home security system to replace the failed iSmartAlarm company’s system. I installed it but could not put it into use due to the audible countdown. Drove our two Maltese pups crazy! Software needs to include the ability to switch this feature off. Can’t use system until that update is made. Thanks.

Notice, he did say the system needs an internet connection to call the alarm center. Other systems have cellular backup and work with no wifi, but they do cost more for monthly monitoring.

Okay but if the alarm is going off and notifies you and for some reason the power is out you should be able to call law enforcement on your cell phone, or get the notification while out of the house and call them and tell them your house is being broken into and they will send the proper people to your house. Either way the likely hood of your internet being down at the same time as someone breaking into your house probably isn’t high but the response either way isn’t immediate.

OK! You talked me into it... I have had an old hardwired system that so old and moldy that only works halfway anymore. Windows were replaced a few years ago so all of my wired window switches are no longer functional. For using Wyze home monitoring, do I have to have a wireless door/window sense device or can I used the existing hardwire switches that are still installed (and good) with my doors? I also have hardwired motions. Just wondering if I need to replace everything or can use some of the existing hardware. Thanks Dave for sharing this!!

I hate having to have separate cam plus accounts for each camera. Please tell me there will be one price for multiple cameras. It's just too much trouble & too expensive. Others have been doing this for a while. I like Wyze & will wait it out a little longer but I really want just one price, one subscription for all my cameras. And there should be a discount for multiple cameras. I have 10 & shouldn't have to pay full price for each one. A small discount would be appreciated. And a nice thank you for being a loyal customer.

I just ordered a bunch of cameras and the home monitoring equipment and I thought this would go smoothly HOWEVER choosing the right subscription is CONFUSING as I thought I needed to pay for Cam Plus Pro and Home Monitoring to get the most out of my system. Now I'm stuck in a situation where the app thinks I have Cam Plus Pro instead of Home Monitoring and my Wyze Sense Keypad doesn't work and the app is the only way to arm and disarm which means I have equipment that I paid for that doesn't work!

I'm having great difficulty with my WYZE cams continuously going off line. Uninstalled, reinstalled app, shut down my account, started a new one, reset the cams (all seven), several times, have great signal to them, just had 4 go off line AGAIN today. Any idea what the problem could be? Very unhappy.......

I've had good times and bad with these cameras, here lately (past year) they've been very unreliable. Maybe after a few years the cams don't communicate with the app with changing tech. Not sure. But I certainly can't afford to replace them with today's economy. Been a user of WYZE for about 4 years now, recommended them and purchased a couple for family. They've got the new V3, I'm on the old original cams, so maybe that's the problem. Around 8PM the same day I sent you the message they started working again. One at a time. They're up and running again. Hope it lasts a minute. Thanks.

Wyze Home Monitoring doesn’t currently work for so many people. It’s a “know issue” according to Wyze if you call them. Funny how they quickly report when AWS impacts their services but NOT when their own software doesn’t work. Wyze does provide a partial credit for equipment that doesn’t work. If you ordered equipment across several orders they seem to only be willing to credit the first order. This makes no sense, at least to me. I loved Wyze. But if you go into home security you need to have a reliable product. When you mess up, you need to communicate. If you can’t fix it, you need to make it right. Three strikes and you’re out [of this house].

I’ve been having an issue where I am not able to access my monitoring settings within the app. Can’t arm or disarm the alarm which pretty much makes the system useless. Customer service says they can suspend my account until they resolve the issue (no time frame on that) but home monitoring is a vital service for those who use it so I don’t really consider that a solution. How about selling something that actually works instead of scamming customers. And as you mentioned, according to customer support this is a know issue impacting several customers. Very annoyed.

I've got the monitoring system and two cameras in a cabin that we have in the woods. The system is worthless. It is a waste of money. I came to the cabin yesterday, and the outside camera sent the notification. I opened the front door and thus the door sensor was opened and what happened? Nothing!! The system was armed "away" and the alarm did not trigger not I received a call from the monitoring system. I left it armed just to see what happened and stayed like nobody was in the house. I've got the notifications but the alarm was never triggered nor emergency calls was received. I am canceling the service. Another issue: there is no costumer service. Just an automated robot to send complaints to.

I am very interested in the Wyze products, in fact I use three of them, an indoor camera, a few smart single pole switches and a video doorbell. I am monitoring the outdoor cameras from Wyze for a few months now, they need power and it is not easy to bring the outlet at the location these cameras have to be installed. In fact there is one thing in your video I am not comfortable with, this is the wiring for the outdoor camera at the main entrance of your house, that wire can be unplugged or damaged in any second by any one, it is accessible, a system like this should not have exposed wires on the outside. The other thing what I am looking for and can not find as a Wyze product is the glass break sensor, which is very important these days. Any work in this respect? The third thing regarding the outdoor cameras is the design of the camera itself, very easy to be damaged by anyone, any thoughts to make a more robust design. And the last thing, I am using about six smart single pole switches, and at least one turns on without any input from me or from a schedule, in fact I did not setup schedules for any of them, so the software needs a bit of "love" to be more robust. I like to price for monitoring, in fact is a great price, thank you for keeping it low. Also the indoor cameras work perfect, I like the resolution and clarity of the image. All in one is a great start for Wyze, however more work is necessary.
