In olden times, everything that was useful and beneficial like Tulsi & cow etc, was cherished to the extent of worshipping, mostly in those parts of the world which were far from the message of the Creator of this world. But the Creator has put this instinct in our nature to worship the Creator and not the creation. Worship who created such useful things for us.
