You can replicate the missing moulding using a CNC machine and some 3-D scanning cameras and software. There are some attachments you can purchase that attach to a cell phone even, but I am not sure how effective they are. It is also good for replicating damaged freeze work and crown moulding. The costs are generally worth it when you are looking at something the size of your chateau. Plus, you can make it a revenue source, helping other chateau owners with their specific needs (replacements, etc.)

On Facebook in one the château groups there is a master carver . He worked with Disney . His work is exquisite. He is retired .I’m sure the medalians could be replicated or like others that didn’t carve their own they made molds from existing ones. And used plaster. I’m so glad you are back. Your knowledge, talent and fun loving personality was missed. I prayed for you many days. Not that you would come back to KZbin but that you were happy. You give us so much and so we don’t want to just take . The timber of your voice and your presence giving us a tour has a way of transporting us on KZbin straight into the Chateau. Thank you for your hard work and time of filming and editing . I am super proud of your achievements and I don’t even know you. If you take on another chateau project I know you could make the basement kitchen the envy of any Chateau owner . Your skill set and eye for design is perfection. May you be very blessed .

Use the same kit you can buy to fix Gilt Plaster Frames for Paintings to take a mould of the gold plaster design you already have. Do one for the edges as well. Cast them in Plaster of Paris and glue them back onto to the wall. Then guild them and you’ll have them back and no one will notice they were ever gone. Chateau De Columbe did the same thing to replace the tiny gilt plaster rosettes on a mirror they bought secondhand. I am doing the same for my broken plaster art frames.

That fireplace is magnificent In fact the whole room is Billy and Gwen have such good taste. The billiard room curtains and paper are the most beautiful blue. I’ve watched from the beginning when Michael and Billy were working on the chateau I remember when they got the cherry picker to repair the chimney. They’ve put so much work into the place and it shows. Excuse me now. I’m just going to rip out my pine fire surround pull up my IKEA rug and make a bonfire. 😂😂

The dining room is beautiful. Billiard room is handsome. Very nice start on the salon. Great job! Just a suggestion: Don't be bashful about not knowing some historical aspect or art detail. It's okay. We are all learners. No one demands that you be an expert. There are plenty of libraries and online resources for one to conduct detailed research. It is refreshing that there are people like you who want to breathe life into these forgotten structures.
