Just a quick tip on the whisking bowl you don't want to hold it in your arms cup or that'll warm the bowl. Take a damp towel roll it into a ring and set your bowl down on top of that. The ring will hold it in place without warming your bowl or eggwhites... Have a great day😉🦋

The Californian lilac which is blue pacific to us here in Australia grows up to 120cm and 2-3m wide. It is massive here in our garden and yes the bees just love them 🐝 🐝🐝. I do fear you may lose a lot amongst everything there. So many plants. Looks good when they are small like that but they grow. Good luck. Would love to see it now

Years ago i looked into an aga stove and then learned they were always "on" which would be fine in a cold climate but not vert efficient if you had to cool the air in the home to combat the stove temperature. They're beautiful though...

I love the grand rooms of properties like this but im fascinated by the servants areas, their lives, their private rooms & their work areas, its been a privilege to see a tour of the chateau. The servants staircase is absolutely stunning, beautiful handrail, I'm surprised it originally had panelling, the stories those areas could tell.

I finally got smart and decided to start at the beginning of Michael's videos. I found his site abt a week ago, and have been watching a lot of the newest ones. I absolutely love Michael and his family.

You boys picked some really great flowers, and you did a great job arranging them. I think them being left loose was better than tieing them up. I hope your mums loved them. It looks beautiful! What a solid wind that is. Just out of curiosity, do you not have flies & mosquitoes where you live? In America you have to have screens on the windows, and screen doors, or the flies will get in and annoy the hec out of you. And the mosquitoes will eat you alive. I love the color of the window, and door. I love that your dad & Billy both came to assist. It's hard to believe your dad is coming up on 80 yrs old. He's like the energizer bunny. I also love that rather than get annoyed, which I'm sure you guys do get, you still think positive, and carry on. What positive influences you all are. I think young people should be required to watch your videos to learn how to work hard, think positive, and know how to handle hiccups.

This video brought tears to my eyes when you said you've been a failure your whole like. One does not have all the talents, knowledge, and skills you have, and be a failure. You have more qualities that are important in life, that most people gain in a life time. I know your family loves you and are very proud of the man you are. I know I would be proud to have you as my son. Or at my age, you'd be my grandson. Either way, you hold your head up, and be proud of who you are, and all you've done. You're such a great asset to Billy, Sadie, and all you know. Your skin looks amazing. That sounds amazing. With all that alcohol though, would it be OK for young children to eat? I loved the sound of the mixed spice. Do you have a recipe for it? Or is it just equal parts of each spice? You didn't use any vanilla extract, but when you mentioned Madagascar, it reminded me that I have 3 types of vanilla beens extracting in vodka. Have you tried making your vanilla? The toughest thing abt making it is it takes a minimum of 1 yr to extract. VanillaPura is a channel that explains it on KZbin & fb. On the Facebook group there are a lot of recipes using the extract, vanilla paste, and using all kind of liquors. One last thing, do you grow and bale your own straw? This was such a fun video. I was wondering what the prices are like compared to England's prices? I remember when I was younger, we were stationed in England. We used to go to Brighton, which is where my mum was born & raised. When we'd go down The Lanes, which had lots of little antique shops, the prices were so cheap. Then alot if the military families started going there and buying up lots of things, so the prices when way up. Which was ashame, but understandable. In America there are antiques, with good prices. In CA, the land of the greedy, you'd have paid $50 - $75 for that cast iron dutch oven. On the east coast it probably wound sell for $15 - $20. Anyway, I'm glad you found some cute oil lamps. That was super kind of Billy to give you the gold chain. You have such a wonderful relationship with your brother. ❤️

I was raised with an American dad, and an English mum. I was 15 before I realized that British humour is very different than American humor. I feel blessed to have been raised on both. Michael you are adorable!

I've always thought that Billy was the eldist, till today, when someone on another video tole me that Michael is. They both have baby faces,, but I think I thought Billy was because I started watching his first. These Petherick lads are so loveable. And ever so handsome. I'm a fairly new viewer of Pethericks videos. I started with Billy's, then Sadie's, and then finally had a subscriber tell me abt yours (this one). One plus to that us I can binge watch em all. Wahoooo! You are so fun to watch, which is why I hunted you down. I'm old enough to be your nan, so it's all good. This is the first time I've seen the guest cottage. Great advice by everyone. I didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if this was mentioned. Sorry if so. I'm wondering if you can use some of the flowers on the other side of the pathway. And be really diligent on watching the wisteria, and English ivy. They're both very invasive.

Michael you are worth your weight in gold. I love the all knowledge you have on period decor, style, and furniture. Your sense of humor is great, and your delivery & timing is perfect. My mum would so be with you on the gold trim in the library. In America, chandeliers hang from the ceilings, and candelabras were like chandeliers, only they were placed on tables or mantel with candles for light.
