Wow! I just realized that it’s been 20+ years since we’ve last visited D.C. There are so many new additions that I wasn’t even aware of. My hubby loves this kind of stuff. I’m going to impress him by using your D.C. videos as our “Things To Do in D.C.” 😉☺️😁 Thank you. 👍🏽

Thank you so much for the great feedback and support. I last went a decade ago and between the time I went in Feb. 2022 and 2012, there were so many changes and new museums. Even as I filmed the museums video, they had closed the air and space the day after my visit for remodeling.

Great job! I’ve been to Washington DC in my middle school days of travel and field trips. There was this one statue that I never forgot and it’s been over 30 years ago. I believe the statue was called the awakening and it may have been in one of those parks in DC. Can you find that statue or can you tell meThe proper name for the statue? It was stunning to me as a kid because it was like a person was awakening from the grounds within the park.

There is a Statue called awakening closer to Maryland. I am not sure if this is the one you mean but it’s definitely a unique sculpture to take in (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Awakening_(sculpture)

Thanks for taking the time to reply! This could very well be it, but for some reason I remember there being green grass. Maybe they have made modifications to the area. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

I think when we live in an area the tourist attractions become background noise. i grew up in NYC and never visited any landmark. Now that I’ve been gone I find myself becoming a tourist and appreciating the landmarks more
