Kind of makes sense that many manufacturers concentrating on mid size as many buyers in the last three years or so looking to move up from the smaller ones they had purchased. It's also nice to see so many different manufactures in the market. Nothing like good competition!

I'm surprised there isn't a much larger push into the homesteading market, implements like two bottom plows, disks, planters. Some 'food plot' product chasers but an awful large number of California and East Coast "escapees" these last three years are trying their hands at small farms. On par with an updated model like the Ford N-series or Ferguson 20/30/35 series. I have the antique heirloom Ferguson 35 from our old farm. It was the smallest tractor on the farm but it had the most hours of any because it could do so much.
@W1ldt1m11 ай бұрын
That stuff is still out there. Rototillers kinda make the smaller plows and disks obsolete and the tillers just keep getting less expensive too. I think I can get a new tiller cheaper than the necessary disk and plow for my small tractor if I bought new.

Great summary of this year's show, Mike. Another KZbin channel (Rockhill Farm) said that he spoke with the folks at the Case booth and was told that Case plans to bring production of Farmall compact/subcompact tractors back in-house, whereas they're currently made by LS. Did you happen to hear anything about this? LS certainly makes a fine tractor, but it would be an interesting move for CNH to manufacture its own small tractors. Cheers!

That would be great if they did, and I bet the already ridiculously high "Bobcat" prices would get even higher LOL....although, a 100% US built tractor would be a major plus if they could keep prices competitive, but there's so many knock off brands anymore that the major companies have a harder time because people see the low price and think they got a great deal but in the long run they got a lawn ornament when they can't get parts.

What does it take to set up a booth at these shows? Im trying to start an implement business that makes old style equipment that is of the cross compatability that the 00s-50s stuff had between tractors and animals like the late model enclosed gear sickle bar mowers had or side delivery hay rakes had to name some examples ive even been touring and talking to the Amish suppliers in northeast ohio, I've been watching your channel for years and really appreciate your thoughts and opinions on tractor stuff and i could really use some advice, my reasoning for doing this is because i have a love for horses and horse drawn equipment and if i could channel that into a business i could help people in being more environmentally friendly and safer in regards to things that are not likely but not impossible either, like solar flares/EMPs , or the cyber attacks that the sheriff of the adjacent county next to me ,told everyone on public tv that they are having 5 cyber attacks a day themselves and that if the attacker's succeeded in disabling water,electricity, or fuel that casualties are a very likely probability you could bring a country to it's knees that way even the citizens are still producing for themselves with compact tractors after all a tractor requires gas and sometimes electricity to operate and if you are already producing odds are you or your neighbor already have large animals that could pull the equipment in not so stellar circumstances to keep the community fed problem is tho is that the stuff at rural king is absolutely not compatible with animals and modification of it to be so would cost more than bigger versions of the same implement on lot

I'm sure its like any other show, you gotta sign up early, like you are already too late, and pay a lot of money for the space....sadly its hard for startup companies a lot of times to get their products into these shows because of the cost and the timeliness. I'd love a sickle mower for my tractor but they're ridiculously expensive. A company like you are talking about would probably be great for the "homestead" crowd for sure, as well as people with small acreage farms and ranches that don't need or want all the big fancy implements and could make do with some ground engagement stuff, as well as old school type implements.
