Thanks for putting this out in public to inform any foreigner who is wishing to travel to Ethiopia of the risks, unfortunately if you are a foreign person in Ethiopia it is seen as acceptable to reap you off your cash , from the big establishments to the small street vendors and taxi drivers , this is the type of information government sponsored travel vloggers or tourist brochures will not show travelers. As an Ethiopian I am ashamed of this, we are a poor country , and there are many poor countries where such things do not happen to visitors, being poor is no excuse for being a swindler, specially guests that come to your home believing in your hospitality.
