The father runs away from the nursing home. The daughter is informed by the hospice. The wife has no clue. In such a scenario how will a divorce help the man when he is already estranged for all practical purposes?

Thank you so much for watching this film closely... That is a fascinating question you have here, also important... I would like to answer your question with another question. Do you think this entire narrative was really about the divorce? Or was it about getting acquainted with practicality of life and death? Well, if you think about it, death itself is a deromanticized concept. But I tried to make it romantic by calling it a celebration. My goal was to eventually motivate someone to live rest of their life to the fullest, so their loved ones can actually celebrate and remember their lives even after they die... So here basically, I wanted Devdutta to reunite the daughter and mother before his eventual death... I hope I was able to answer your question... I am sure perspectives can change from person to person when you look at this film.. and narrative can fall if we include things for pratical purposes... On the other hand, I am happy to see that our cinema just became a medium where I was able to converse and communicate with a stranger audience at such a deeper level... So cheers to that!

@@shubhamshevade thanks for replying. Actually, I didn't think, that divorce was the main theme. I thought, the man wanted to break free of all that he considered shackles. I have another q Mr Shervade: since you have left stuff for viewers such as myself to complete as we please, " What if the daughter comes clean to her mother about her father's illness, and the divorce bit too? My heart went out to the daughter's plight. She would be kicking herself and feeling guilty forever. Right? Thanks for this Mohan Agashe short film.
