Yeah when it came out it was like Whoa- this music- this genre, can literally stand shoulder to shoulder with ANY music. As technically precise, dense, meaningful and compelling as any other music you can listen to- and the entire album is essentially one seminal work. At the time it was in a class by itself and I honestly think there’s maybe only 1-2 other hip hop albums that can match it in its entirety.

A Tribe Called Quest were a great group and added something special to hip-hop. They incorporated jazz in their raps. I wish we had artists these days like these guys. Tracks like this always makes me move and picks me up from a stressful day at work. They need to do a comeback tour. I'm stuck in the 90s.

+dccmaj man I totally agree! I was always feeling good after a bad day once I hit play on this CD. Actually this album and The Low End Theory haven't ever left my music that is always with me. I must say, when I was blunted, I just noticed so much going on in the background of the beats on Midnight Marauders album...all time classics!

I’m only 14 and someone I know recommended this song to me. I never imagined myself jamming to “old school” music, but I was surprised of how much I actually like this song. It’s a vibe!

FR... If this is a first introduction to "old school" music, you are lucky enough to experience something magical because this is the tip of the iceberg. Recommended for your listening experience... The Pharcyde-Passin Me By.
