This is from a time when rap and hip hop used to carry a message and to really mean something.

Can't believe this track is thirty years old...A Tribe Called Quest we're so innovative and ahead of their time, they really set the bar for alternative hip hop music.

Tribe Called Quest, one of the best to ever do it. RIP to Phife Dog. The Zulu Nation is collective group of rappers that consist of both individuals and groups. Their style is heavily jazz and motherland influenced and they have spawned so many artists both past and present. If you don’t know who tribe is, you don’t know hip hop.

Great song, other favourites are “I left my wallet in El Segundo”, “Bonita Applebum” and of course “Can I Kick It?”.

Hi Simply KSO, "Buggin' Out" was a different track on the album "Low End Theory". They only incorporated a part of that song for the video, after the song Jazz (We've Got) ended. But "Buggin' Out" is actually longer than that. They didn't make a whole video for that song though. But here is the full length track for Buggin' Out (approx. 3mins 30secs long): kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmrShXawjLeorLM

If you’re enjoying alternative HipHop, you might want to try “Rebirth of Slick” (Cool like Dat) by Digibale Planets. It’s so smooth, but it’s sharing the history and influences of Hip Hop. It won a Grammy.

This song clocks in at four minutes ten seconds. The bugout bit overwrites a bunch of shout outs to the various boroughs and neighborhoods of New York City -- Brooklyn, Bronx, Harlem, etc. -- as well as to the JB's, De La Soul, and the Zulu Nation.

In this video, you are actually hearing two songs off of their album "The Low End Theory"... They just joined the songs together into one video. Both songs are incomplete in the video, but you can hear both full songs on the album.
