A tribute to Anne Lockhart as Sheba

In this video you'll see some great scenes with Anne Lockhart, playing Sheba in Battlestar Galactica '78.
She played that part wonderfully. It's a pity the show was cancelled after just one season!!

I fell in love with Annie when she was on BJ and the Bear. There was an episode where she got thrown into a swimming pool and she looked so iincredibly beautiful. And then she got to play badass Lt. Sheba! It makes me wonder why she is SO underrated as an actor.

Met her at a Starfest years ago. She wasn't as young of course , but still amazingly gorgeous. A treat Ill always cherish. BSG was the best and like Startrek only flourished after it was cancelled.

Annie is so beautiful. Everyone raves about Cassie and Athena, but Sheba was always the one for me. And THIS is how you play a female Viper pilot. Not that caricature of the REAL Starbuck that the stupid "re-whatever" has done.

As beautiful as all of them are, my number one Galactica lady is Lieutenant Deitra from the two part episode Lost Planet of the Gods. She was the Black lady Viper pilot, played by Sheila Wills (credited at the time as Sheila DeWindt). She was the best female Viper pilot before Sheba came on the show.

I loved Sheba's character and she has been sort of a role model to me through all these years. Unlike Cass and Athena that were more eye candy than anything else and whose stories focused more on their relationship with Starbuck, Sneba was a strong female, a good pilot and one the guys respected due to her skills.

Great to see this. Whenever I see the original BSG, I'm always blown away when I see Anne Lockhart as LT Sheba. What a H-O-T-T-I-E!!! Truly a beautiful woman. The LT Sheba character was quite a pioneering role. She was the first woman character on US TV to be in combat. Pretty darn good. I think there is a case to be made that the women on the original BSG were hotter than the women on the new BSG.

"Sheba" was a great role for all women of the time when BST was made - A charactor that erned respect from men for her ability to act while mixing her charm with her skills in acting wish there were more actors like that around rather than the superficial people of this time

She comes from a 100+ year long stage famiily: Anne Lockhart is the daughter of June Lockhart (TV Lassie, Lost in Space, etc) and the granddaughter of Kathleen (English actress) and Gene (Canadian actor). In the 1938 film version of A Christmas Carol (Scrooge played by Reginald Owen), Gene played Bob Cratchit, Kathleen played Mrs. Cratchit and June had her acting debut as Martha Cratchit. She is also the great granddaughter of stage actor John Coates Lockhart.

Most beautiful girl ever to be on film or TV.. For those of you who don't know, Anne Lockhart is the daughter of June Lockhart, the women who played Dr. Maureen Robinson in Lost in Space.. June Lockhart also played the mom of TV character Timmy Martin in Lassie..Interesting enough her daughter Anne Lockhart was also in lassie as a little girl but only for 4 episodes.. But I will always remember Anne Lockhart best as Sheba from Battlestar Galactica, She is just so sexy and beautiful!.

I watched the movie and then the series on TV in the Phil's. Missed out on StarWars as I was preparing for my CPA exams then. But loved the chemistry of Capt Apollo and Lt Sheba. In my mind they married and raised Boxey to become Capt Troy.

It was because of her (and to a lesser extent Jenilee Harrison of 'Three's Company') that I vowed to marry a blonde woman when I grew up. I was like 11 when I first saw the Goddess Sheba on 'Battlestar Galactica'. Anne Lockhart is an absolute angel! She is one of the most beautiful women to have ever walked this Earth. And, she looks so much like her mother, June Lockhart from 'Lost in Space. Not only did the apple not fall far from the tree, she blossomed into an even more beautiful tree of her own-one of eternal beauty. The only other woman to exceed her supreme perfection is Lynda Carter (A.K.A. Wonder Woman/ Diana Prince). But it was truly Anne Lockhart that shaped the man that I would become with regards to what women I would find innately attractive. And yes, I did marry a blonde woman-my very own Anne Lockhart now of 20+ years!
