A Tribute To Lynne Thigpen

A tribute to another one of my childhood icons: Lynne Thigpen!
The song I used is the Goodbye Song from "Bear In The Big Blue House" where she performed the voice of Luna the Moon, and it's one of the several times you can actually hear Lynne sing.
Lynne, you were a great actress and performer. We miss you, Chief. :(

It's hard to believe that Luna's voice and The Chief on Carmen Sandiego are the same person. It was amazing how she could play both a busy, authoritative person and a sweet, friendly person.

I had the pleasure of knowing Lynne at U o I. She was friendly, nice, unaffected & tremendously talented! Thru the years my family & I rejoiced at her TV & movie appearances & her success. The world lost a real treasure way too soon! RIP, dear girl! ( she referred to herself as "Pigpen" --her own play on her name. HowI loved her humor!!!

Lynne Thigpen was involved in the movie Godspell 1973. She played one of the disciples and sang “Oh Bless The Lord”. She had a wonderful singing voice.

I remember when they did the tribute for her on'' the district'' . It was heartbreaking . Craig T Nelsen was close friends with her and they said he broke down and the tears and his emotions on that episode were real. She was a class act.

I watched you play Luna in the Bear in the Bear in the big blue house with my little cousins and it made me smile. I remember seeing her in the Movie Godspel. She was so young. She was one fantastic actress. She could play the villain in Lean on Me, then have a smile as bright as the sun on a children's game show being so friendly. She will be missed.
