A Tribute to Pedro, who always had so much love to give and who we will miss dearly. There were so many special things about our beloved Pedro. He was the bestest buddy we could have ever wished for. Saying goodbye is so hard, but we cherish the memories and appreciate how lucky we were to be able to adopt him. We love you so much darling boy, and know you will be looking after our sweet Lyra for us over that rainbow bridge ❤🌻❤ All the love, always, from your mommy and daddy xxx

We lost our first Guinea pig on Monday. Bubblegum was just over 3 years old. She had been diagnosed with cancer. We kept her comfortable for the last few weeks and she was going to be going to the vets on Friday to be put to sleep. But she decided she wanted to go at home. I had a feeling that she wouldn't make it til then so i had sat with her all weekend stroking her and telling her how much she was loved. But it seems like she wanted to wait until she was on her own while we were at work. I feel terrible that i wasn't there for her at the end, but maybe thats what she wanted in the end. She looked peaceful curled up in her hidey. We wrapped her in her blanket and buried her in the garden. It really hit me later on that evening when it was time to feed the other two pigs. Bubblegum was the quietest and relaxed of our pigs, Jellybean was the most adventurous and Pompom was the most boisterous. but Bubblegum loved her food and got super excited when she knew it was time for food. She even loved hiding herself in the fresh hay. So not seeing her eating with the other two was heartbreaking. I sat there watch the other two eat, my wife asked me if i was okay, and the only thing i coukd say before i burst out crying was 'she should be here having her dinner'

I never forgot the pain I felt from losing one of my pigs even though it was in 2020. When they pass they leave a huge void in our hearts that can never be filled. Guinea pigs are family. You gave Pedro a life he may have otherwise never had. He knew he was loved and had a good home. They just don't get to spend as many years with us as we'd like. I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't told most people that my father, George D. Shelton has ruined high school senior prom night just by dropping out of high school. My father has also foolishly shared about the Lord God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit with my mother, Susie K. Shelton. It's all true, you know. He dropped out of high school to join the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army recruiters were out to lunch, back then, on April 9th, 1954. My father tgen decided to join the U.S.A.F. My father met my mother at this Osaka, Japan, distant military outpost on March 23rd, 1957. My father took advantage of my mother. Thus, he ended up having sex with her. I wouldn't be born to this world if he didn't do it in the first place. He wouldn't even be bringing my mother home from Isaka, Japan, either. My father wouldn't be receiving a transfer to the Osaka, Japan, distant military outpost if he closely followed orders. Did you notice that Arnold Schwarzenegger had put a stop to all of these cases? Arnold Schwarzenegger has followed one kids life. Since the kid was another half Japanese half American white little boy. He even judged him by what his birth month is. Such as April. Since Adolf Hitler was born on the same month.

I never met him in person, but Pedro felt like a family member like every other piggy that I got to know through a screen in the past 1-2 years. Pedro, you were cute, funny, and loving. My cheeks would hurt so much from smiling, every time I saw him and his interaction with the girls. I'm crying as I'm writing this, but we miss you already Pedro. And Sarah, I'm sorry again for your loss, and I hope you and the girls find peace again❤️

We cry with you, Sarah!! Guinea pigs are very important to us, too!! . . . My husband and I lost our beloved daughter, at the age of 31 yrs.-old, just over a year ago; we brought her two piggies home to live with us, their grandpigparents, as she was single and had no children of her own. Our family has raised piggies since our daughter was 5 yrs.-old . . . Still struggling with her loss, sudden and unexpected, I worry now about her piggies, who just turned 5 themselves . . . Our daughter's sweetness is reflected in her girls, who we have come to love, so very much--We recently adopted an additional two more, 2 mos.-old sisters, in our daughter's memory, as she had wanted more piggies, once she'd bought a home and had more room . . . I lost two babies last year. They were only 11 and 12 weeks old. We didn’t know they came to us sick, and they were too small for the vet to help. The vet helped us put them to sleep so they wouldn’t be in any pain. I miss those girls. The smallest was so friendly, and her sister was just starting to open up to us.

These wonderful little animals may be small, but they have a huge place in your heart as a guinea pig owner. Every time I have had to say goodbye, and make the heart wrenching, but humane decision to let them go, it hurts the same - it never gets easier. But they bring joy for countless days, so it is a small price to pay - and choosing to let them go is part and parcel of being a responsible owner. RIP Pedro - When you see my boys Louie, Joey, Okie and Link, tell them I love them, and hope you are all feasting on green meadows :-)
