Early in the piece he said he wasn't very brainy . On the contrary he was/is the most intelligent rugby man ive ever met and interviewed and the best amateur psychologist the game has ever seen. A complete legend

What a wonderful tribute to stumble across. As a child and teenager I stood on the bank with my dad in the 70's and 80's and watched Prosser's Pooler kick ass ! I recently found a great keepsake from that era with a No 7 game worn jersey (hopefully Cobner's) that will get passed down to my son here in the states. best wishes, Mark, Hoboken, New Jersey.

I'm a proud Irishman of the Slattery, O'Driscoll, Duggan, Orr and Keane era. I remember well making sure to be at home to watch Rugby Special every Sunday so that I could get to see the likes of teams such as Swansea, Cardiff and Pontypool - with Pontypool being my favourite team. Looking at Price, Windsor, Faulkner, Perkins, Squire, Butler, Staff Jones - ah they were a great side. And this man Ray Prosser was the man who founded all of that. What a great man he is, and the virtues he expresses in this documentary are applicable not just to rugby but to life generally. Perseverance, hard work, dedication, the ability to work hard. Thanks Rob for posting this video.

I grew up watching Newport but always admired and respected Pontypool's style of rugby, especially the wizardly David Bishop and am grateful to Mr Prosser for his inspired commitment to rugby. Sitting on my sofa now, living in Canada, I watched this video and was humbled by the great man's words, his love of community and life. What an inspiration, proving sometimes the simple things are best, quite like a zen master. Thank you for posting this.

Thanks for this post! Prosser with his brutal honesty and true love of his locality above all else was a man after my own heart! Here was a genuine, true man of principles that money just cannot buy. Today's players and officials will not be able to relate to this man's passion and love of his community and country!

Legend! The fact he was never involved with the Welsh set up was criminal! All that knowledge should have been used. Thanks for the upload.

RIP Pross. A giant amongst men. I would regularly see him as he did his daily walk past our house on Rockhill Rd and of course hear him as he spat out expletives as pooler trained 😂😂

Aye He knocked about in The den The Day because he saw the bullshit of the committee men like The fantastic Carwyn James Saw the same. Oh aye the Golden age, 2023, Welsh rugby, The National game, The game us Welsh adore, No Structure, No Future What So ever. Sort it out like mun! Made Of The Best Brown Paper! Ray Would Fix It We Wouldn't have them him and Terry . Should have given Ray A go. Our Prosser, you've gotta like him mun, It's the Pros like.
