The Infinity is pretty much the ultimate spaceship i imagined as a child. really really powerful for me, its like someone looked into my head and made my dream a reality. as far as ia m concerned, this is the best space ship ever.

The Tardis is still better. When it's fully functional, it can disguise itself as anything. It could be the Infinity or even the Death Star. According to the novels it can mimic the functions of whatever it's disguised as, so it's not just a static copy. Plus it can travel in time too.

Halo 5 did not cause THAT much damage that could not be controlled and concluded in a satisfying way. just one idea: WHY the hell werent the Spartans chief found to get his new abilities the members of Osiris?! it would thinnen out the way too overloaded characterpool of Halo 5, it would give at least a LITTLE bit depth to the moments when we find the spartans (it would amplify the feeling of rapidly losing familiar faces in a horrible defeat)....and much more... but no... the story they delivered was just awful and boring as fuck.

Even those 343 assholes know better than to kill off the biggest hero ship the franchise has had plus all the associated characters (Lasky, Palmer, Roland, Blue Team, Osiris, FTs like Majestic and Crimson, etc.) that the last few games have introduced, and do it all offscreen. Probably in a similar condition as Spirit of Fire out there crashed on the Ark.

I loved this ship since I first saw it in halo 4 and now it’s gone. First the Pillar of Autumn sacrifice on ring 04, then Inamberclad crashing into high charity, then the Forward Unto Dawn escaping the firing, and now the infinity to banished. The only big UNSC ship left is the Spirit the Fire and no one knows it will be in the next chapter or if it wasn’t destroyed above the Ark after Atriox attacked the infinity

The lastest version of the Halo Encyclopedia does give us detail what the Banished Dreadnoughts are geared with. By have a battering ram using technology from their gravity hammers, at least what it seems the main weapon to be. Also, six light plasma lances to rip armor and drop shields.

TBH, they did the Infinity dirty. This was a foundational leap in UNSC ship design, packed with 6 spartan fireteams, each with 4-5 spartans each, it drops frigates, and was the biggest and most tough UNSC ship. And then it got destroyed in like 4 minutes by a few Banished ships going rammy rammy and a big space monkey with a red glowy stick.

There are 4 books in the saga. If your wanting to start from the days of the UNSC, then start with the comic: "Halo: Contact Harvest". Well, Escharum seemed pretty confident they had downed Infinity, but that proves nothing. Unless I see a significant chunk of her hull either in orbit of Zeta or on the surface, there remains the remote possibility that Infinity remains powerless in orbit of Zeta's original anchor or worse, the Banished have captured her for themselves.

It was ambushed. Likely heavily damaged . Not fully destroyed. The reason it wouldn't be fully destroyed is simply because that's not how the Banished does things. They tactically kill a ship then steal whatever technology they find useful off it. Even if Atriox is pissed about what happened on his homeworld. He's a tactician about it. Which is what makes him unique among his kind.
