An 'origin' video of this conflict which early on states that the Palestinians were 'just there' and the Jewish were kicked out by the Romans is misleading. The Temple of Solomon was built in the Kingdom of Israel in BCE, thousands of years ago. It was burned down and rebuilt, still BCE. The Neo-Assyrian Empire then destroyed the Kingdom of Israel and now there are two mosques built on top of the holiest site in the Jewish religion. These are the modern day Palestinians. I'd think that would be important context in a video explaining the origin of this conflict.

There are a bunch of statements that are not sourced because they are opinions, unfortunately. These opinions are stated as truths. A neutral analysis does not work this way. I will show below the timestams when opinions or false information is stated as truths. Although it is made to sound as if the British imposed segregation laws, which I could not find.' 16:38 'Well, it is the author's personal opinion to state that zionism is a colonial project.There are plenty of reasons why this can not be true.' 9:56 'While it is true that the British gave military assistance to the Palmach forces of the Haganah in 1942. It is not mentioned, however, that the British stopped doing so in 1943 and attempted to disarm the Haganah. So I've been seeing a bit of map inaccuracies in this video, so when Britain colonized Palestine after the Ottomans fell, it was called "The British Mandate of Palestine" which includes of Israel (minus Golan Heights), Palestine, and Jordan. And in 25:09, when it shows Vichy France over Syria and Lebanon it also shows Turkey there too, which is inaccurate. Turkey stayed out of the conflict entirely. I don't want to send hate, I just want to point out some inaccurate stuff mapping.

This is an incredibly complex topic. Unfortunately, this video does not analyze this historical event from a neutral standpoint. First of all, there is barely if no mention of the Jews who were on the land for millennia and resided in what is known as the Old Yishuv. Furthermore, without careful consideration throughout the video, it is stated that zionism is a colonialist project. This quote by history professor Alexander Yakobson perfectly describes where this argument collapses: "In other words, zionism was a colonialist phenomenon in all respects and fully resembled other examples of modern colonialism apart from the fact that it was a national movement, that it was not motivated by the desire of economical gain, that it arose out of Jewish suffering, and was realized by people who may be defined as refugees, that the settlers had no colonial mother country, and that the bond with the land of Israel was part of the traditional historical identity of the Jewish people. Otherwise, it is totally colonialism." Moreover, unlike what is claimed in the video. There was never a plan by the Hagana or the Jewish administration to expel Arab Palestinians from the proposed Jewish state. Because the Jews sought help from different powers for their own survival, just like many 3rd world nations.
