Hey Dave thanks for taking me fishing it was awesome!! Had a great day on the water even with the dog barking and the guy using the leaf blower and the bird trying to still your cheese and having a wet ass from your seat. But between Gilligan trying to capsize us and the people on the party barge yelling and drinking, the day was still the best day ever. I don't even care that dog peed on my boot it was worth it. I hope to go again soon.

My son got 1 on a bullhead and 1 on a hook I crammed 3 nightcrawlers on. Bite has been really slow for flatheads and even catching bullheads I figured throw out nightcrawlers on a rod and my boy could catch channels but got an 28 pound flathead on worms and a 15 pound on a 8" bullhead hahaha. Nice catches

I used to go trout fishing with a guy that would break out a Slim Jim every time the bite was slow. On more than one occasion when neither of us were catching trout I'd see him store his fly rod in a holder on his float tube, take out a slim jim and begin eating it - only for his rod ( with a streamer fly dangling in the water some ways downstream) bend over with a good fish. :)

There are 2 kinds of fisherman: no fish and dry pants versus lots of fish and wet pants. Personally I would worry about the seat and end up getting skunked. CD is the common man's fisherman!

Dave, I have a question. Is there a minimum depth to suspend baits? I have an idiot friend that claims you made this statement. I know you have much deeper water to fish than I do here, but I need to settle this debate with this fool.

If you suspend too shallow the boat will spook the fish. Depends on water clarity and stuff. When it's 20 ft or less I would rather drag or anchor and throw baits out away from boat
