There's a youtube series made by a guy who believes some magicians have gotten their magic power by demons and does this to hide it. Like, _actually_ believes it.

Let me clarify, he believes it in a "you are evil and want to do devilish deeds to the world", if I remember correctly. As in, I think he would try to exorcise you if he ever saw you.

Fun twist on this trick: force the Joker on the participant, then when you show what you've written you can act extra surprised that the only card you didn't write was what they chose but once you warm up your card it reveals joker with the J from Jack, the O from Queen (using the capital Q), K from King, and ER from Hearts

Gonna take a guess: Random gibberish and lines on the business card, using fire under the paper to reveal it? Another guess: Friction Pens? I love this so much, but I've seen it before, specifically with Dynamo. You performed it very well. It was Rob's reaction I loved. He was all ready to be all like: "NO! That's not true! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!" but he was all like: "No, that's not true, that's imp - wait what! NOOOO! SCREW YOU!!!!" p.s. can shwood please be made into a verb? Shwood: Shwuhd Verb To cheat someone or a group of people out of a "prize" and/or blow minds "Man, I'm about to Shwood you with this two-card Monte,"

You're starting to repeat yourself, Shwood. I thought it was the frixion pen because of the title. When I saw all of the numbers and suits on there, but *10* and *CLUBS* were darker than the rest of the words, I knew instantly even moreso that's what it had to be. You can't reuse a gag!

***** It would have been perfectly fine if he'd said this trick was a new twist on an old classic, but he presented it as a wholly new trick. Man, he needs a channel historian to keep him straight on what he's taught before!

Great trick! I like to write my real prediction in lemon juice and my fake prediction in erasable pen. (Make sure the you can't read the original) That way the fake one disappears and the real one appears. It's a little cleaner but either method should get the job done. P.S. Instead of a lighter, I use a candle

I remember this episode when this first came out... and I remember a question I had that still isn't answered. On what did you write (a bussiness card?) and how do you not manage to burn the thing where you have written the 10 of clubs, because I've tried this and the paper burnt faster then the revelation XD

after the trick, put that magic card in the freezer. The cold will make the ink apear so you can perform again with the same card. That will work a few times more but the ink will eventualy fade over time.

I think it would be a good idea to do it backwards... have all the numbers pre-written with the friction pen and just write on top with a regular pen. That way you could write any card of the whole deck and perform for more than one person without getting people suspicious about the same card appearing over and over.. and it would be a good idea to mix this with a marked deck.

i have a magic trick for you get a deck of cards (any order is fine) now unknown to the audience you have the 2 black jacks on the top and bottom of the deck you then show the deck face up to the audience showing its shuffled (if possible avoid showing them the top and bottom cards so they dont relise thats where the jacks are) now put the deck face down and have them pick a random card now you give a little story the story i use is "your card is infact a theif and has been stealing from the king himself, so right now your card is at the kingdom" you then tap the top of the deck telling your audience that to place their card at the top of the deck "the king is sick of your card stealing from him so he sends his two sons (the two black jacks) after the theif so the thief goes into hiding" you then cut the deck causing the two jacks that were on top and bottom of the deck to be on top and bottom of the "thief" card you then search through the deck and ask in the process something like "do you think the theif got caught by the two jacks/sons?" too reveal that the two jacks surround the "theif"

Brian used a business card, which has a little thickness to it. Watch as they wave the card over the flame, they don't let it sit in one place long enough to ignite. Avoid using really thin papers, keep the card in motion, and you should be fine.
