Old league was like Call of Duty 6. Everything was either overpowered or underpowered yet it was still super fun. Nothing beats the fun of playing AP Sion Taric bot, that perma stun with the burst was something else.

I have a lot of fond memories playing old Graves. What a versatile champion he was back then, as he could pretty much be played in all three lanes, either as an ADC, a burst-heavy mid or as a more bruiser-type toplaner. Old Galio was tons of fun too. Like Kassadin, he was a true anti-mage. Old Sona was also so much better than the current iteration. With her passive auras, giving bonus stats and her passive Power Chord had a delay before firing, making it much more reliable to use with Lich Bane. She had insane burst on a short cooldown too, easily beating out champs like Lux. She was really good into Katarina at the time, believe it or not, and she could one-shot most squishy champs, even some junglers like Master Yi, Rengar and Kha'Zix. Getting 1000+ AP on her was really easy too 😄

1 Champ per lane would be for me : Top = old Aatrox, he was my main and I loved playing him. He was such a chill laner man ahhh Mid : old Akali, she was a power house and a huge threat to the back line if you didn’t pay attention at all times as the adc/caster. Jungle : back then I didn’t play jungle that much but I’d say the old lee sin or xin were very cool to me. ADC : 1000000% Graves, that guy was just such a nice counter to Lucian who was pretty strong at that time. Not to forget how old pool party graves was litterally peak league imo. (Go watch it, it made his auto attacks and Q SO satisfying) Support : I don’t remember any major rework for a support so that’s just empty but old karma looked quite hard to play in this video Honorable mention: Irelia : After seeing her on this video i really started to miss her, that old kit she had was just so much better.

ngl the reworks made me drop some of my favourite champs. Volibear , Udyr and Fiora. They were the only champs that made me play JG and top which I almost never played in the past as I was a ADC/SP main and craved all in fights. After the rework , I can't seem to do that as easily anymore .

Diplomatic Immunity. Arguably the most broken (read: overpowered) ability to have ever existed in League's history. 8 seconds of full immunity to damage from anything but the marked enemy. It was much more busted than Tryndamere R and Kayle R combined.

Back then, in the first 2 seasons, I mostly played lanes like mid and adc sometimes. little by little, riot took me one champ after the other through the reworks. gragas, swain, graves, soraka (mid), galio, sion etc. all of them got a rework. riot probably had something against me and forced me to quit laning. since season 3 i've only been out in the jungle. still was a great time bakc then when there only were a handful of champs with dashes... nowdays, i dont need to tell ya, half of championpool has some sort of dash / gapclose, either with abilities or itemchoices...
