We took a trip to Colorado recently, and really enjoyed it a lot! I wanted to share a bit of it here! In Holmes Co we also toured The Farm at walnut Creek, did some gardening, went to Hillcrest orchard and so forth. I hope you enjoy the video!

My grandkids would LOVE this!! They both love animals so much. The big ones with horns or antlers were pretty bold huh??😬😳 I don't think your son was too fond of them either🫣😄 The house & land was a really gorgeous place!! I love watching Oakland with the goats & chickens😊 Wow..i know that weather was different for you, because we never walk out here in Florida for long before we break a sweat😄 Honestly I can stand in the doorway & break a sweat🥴 I'm super hot natured tho. Hopefully I'll get A little more used to it 🤷‍♀️ Ohhh Pikes Peak was gorgeous!!❤ Reminded me a bit of home in TN. I lived there for 5yrs & my ears always popped in the higher elevations. In the fall i always called the beautiful scenery Gods masterpiece, with all those colors spread across the mountains! Just imagine looking out across those mountains & it just a sea of red, yellow, orange & splashes if green & brown! Its really stunning! There's a place called 5 mile look out, for 5 miles about every half mile there's a look out area.. its amazing! So are ask the areas with waterfalls. Lol I'm honestly him to miss it🫤 But We'll take weekend getaways & go rent a cabin. Oh I love a good rodeo! We went alot when we lived in NC. My son & his wife went to Colorado near Vale for their honeymoon.. It was in November & snowed like crazy! But they went to ski so i guess that was good.🤷‍♀️ There's alot of white water rafting about an hour from where we lived in TN. We used to go over & watch, but never actually tried it. The water is in the 40° temps & that's in the summer months! The train ride you guys took was very cool!! Sounds like you guys had a blast! You should definitely go in fall! My son took gorgeous pictures when they went in all the snow! I'm not sure which area they went, but I'm thinking it was Breckenridge. I really warn want to do the Alpine Coaster.. they have one in Gatlinburg. Girl July has been HOT here in Florida🥵.. can't imagine what next month will be like! Glad you guys have been enjoying your summer.. making all the memories with family & friends! Thanks for taking us on the Colorado trip! Totally Enjoyed😊

My husband and I just got home from an anniversary trip to Colorado. Your video there was helpful. We visited some of the same areas that you guys did. It was hot but we had a great time and saw lots of beautiful things. We made it to the Royal Gorge, 7 falls, cliff dwellings, garden of the gods, cave of the wind, Vail, Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National park. We both went to this area as kids so it was great to go back as senior citizens. I watched your video 3 times to get ideas of what to see or where to go.Thanks.

Love seeing the rainbow. My husband and I saw a double rainbow when we were celebrating our 30th anniversary in Hawaii. That was 25 years ago. This year unfortunately I celebrated my anniversary alone since he went to be with our Lord in February o this year. Love when your share your travels.

Garden of The Gods is so beautiful, I loved our visit there! Love your videos and hope to run into you one day while you're in Ohio. My MIL and I spent an overnight in the Carlisle Inn a few weeks ago and went to a concert there in the Ohio Star Theater, Exile was the name of the band and they played 80's music great time. Did you get down by the rivers at all and feel the water? Ice cold! The last time we were there my husband decided he was going to pan for gold. He rolled up his pant legs and waded in. There were signs all around to beware of flash flooding in the case of rain. We had the hardest time getting him out as the storm clouds rolled in. Good memories!

Glad you came to visit our state. Urban Egg is five minutes from my home, great breakfast place. Colorado has a growing Amish or Mennonite community in the San Luis Valley, right by the Sand Dunes National park. My family is from that area. The Amish/ Mennonite’s have been great to have in our community, we have a summer home there, which belonged to my grandparents. I’ve noticed a whole lot of businesses are owned by Yoder’s. The Sand Dunes would be a really fun place to visit with your children m

Thank You for the footage of Colorado!!! We lived in Colorado Springs for almost 15 years & have been to all of the places you showed- plus much more of the state! I am so homesick for Colorado, but altitude, cost of living & drugs are a few of the reasons we don’t live there now. Yes! You must go back to Estes Park when the Elk move into town for mating season. The Aspens are gorgeous in the fall ( especially the years when the red colors mix with the orange & yellows. Fun fact the old time native people of Colorado call the Aspens “quakies- because of the sound the leaves make in the wind.” Blessings! 💜✝️

Hi Lynette! I have been enjoying these Ohio videos so much! It’s a place I really want to visit. I live in Southwest Colorado near Durango. You should come visit here too. I personally think my area is prettier than the Springs area but I might be a little biased!! You can also visit the Southern Ute Indian reservation and go on a steam train to Silverton if you visit Durango. I think I sound like I work for the Chamber of Commerce or something! (I don’t!!) Remember; hydration is key to being in high altitude. Keep water with you all the time!!

We took a trip to Denver/Colorado Springs a couple of years ago and the same happened to me at Pike's Peak. We just drove up the mountain and it started with a headache and I ended up almost passing out I was so dizzy. We loved the Royal Gorge too, although we didn't take the train on the bottom. The Garden of the Gods was beautiful. And we got to see a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre which was so cool. We are actually going back there in a few weeks but this time we are starting in Arvada (Denver suburb) and going on Million Dollar Highway down to Durango and into New Mexico. And again we are going to see a concert at Red Rocks. We absolutely love Colorado and it was nice to see your trip was good.

Lynette, I really appreciate this Ohio video series. We live in coastal SC, but my husband’s family lives in the Cleveland area and we’ll head up this fall. I’m taking lots of notes from your little excursions, as I’d love to take my now young adult daughters to Holmes County for a fun day. We visited Millersburg 12 years ago, so my kiddos were very young. A couple of years ago we had the pleasure to spend some time with an amazing Amish couple on their farm in Nappanee, IN as they had purchased our tandem recumbent bike and we delivered it since we were headed to Ohio anyway. I really enjoy and appreciate your videos and the content you share! You have a wonderful family! Enjoy the rest of your time in OH and Safe travels back to the Sunshine State 🌻

Glad you all had such a good time. Personally, I'm afraid of heights and when we were in Colorado, driving all the switchback roads and altitude terrified me. But beautiful country.
