A trip to Lonji Rice Terraces ( China ) 🐉🐲🇨🇳

We Travelled from Guilin to Dazhai, all the way to the lonji Rice Terraces. Lonji ( Dragon’s Backbone ) Terraced Fields received their name because the rice terraces resemble a dragon’s scales, while the summit of the mountain range looks like the backbone of the dragon.🐉

Guilin is my favorite scenic city. The mountains there are as beautiful as pictures.I hope you can arrange time to go to Zhangjiajie, which is the filming location of the movie Avatar and is very famous. You will definitely be amazed by your wife after going there!

We tried to fit it in our schedule but there wasn't enough time as you would need at least 4 days (including Fenghuang and Furong) so we decided to save it for our next trip to the mighty China! 😉

I was thinking of the planning and sheer effort it took to create these terraces--a monumental achievement. But then I thought, it must take even greater effort to battle soil erosion, to keep them from being washed away. I wonder how they manage to do that.

You didn't go to Longji Terraces at the right time. The best time for Longji Terraces is in April, when the fields are filled with water like a huge mirror shattered in the valley, very beautiful
