Trust me, it was way better, I was a teenager - young adult in the 80's, no internet, no social media, and it was good. We are now bombarded by the opinions of stupid, entitled, utterly pointless arseholes who serve absolutely no purpose whatsoever.

Lmao, what a stupid, rose colored nostalgic comment. The internet only became worldwide in 1993 and was truly global and established in 2000. So, of course they wouldn't have a clue about the true power and potential of sharing information, the very reason for why the internet existed. As a 90's kid, seeing comments like yours just makes me wanna barf.

No you I have a lakers styled jersey still in great condition that has only been worn once from an Eminem and Rihanna concert from their The Monster Tour back in 2014 that says “SHADY” on the front and right underneath that it has the number 2 and on the back it says “MMLP2” with again the number 2 right underneath that. I’m not planning on ever selling it, but how much do you think something like that would be worth in let’s say 20 years? Maybe even 30 years? How high would the price go when Eminem dies? Just curious. Not planning on selling it, but it would be nice to know if things ever get desperate. .....I just got up to check it out. I smelled it to see if it still smelled clean after being put aware and untouched, as far as I’m aware, for years and it still smells brand new! It also kind of smells like a cologne I haven’t worn in a while. I wonder if I had that cologne on when first bought it and the smell is still on it😂😂 Good thing my cologne isn’t strong. I choose the cologne I use because it smells fresh and clean. Not too “cologne-y” if that makes sense. I wonder if that contributed to why the jersey still smells fresh. I’m not sure though if it is the cologne. Like I said I haven’t worn it in awhile and I kind of forgot what it smells like, and I think I first started wearing that cologne during that same year of that concert. I just don’t remember if it was before or after that concert I started wearing that cologne. Anyway, how do you think those things would effect the price? 20 years later? 30 years later? After Eminem dies? The fact that it still smells fresh and looks new and only worn once? I know you probably aren’t an expert on this, but I am curious what you think.

‘89 was kind of a bittersweet year for me. I was 24 and you could tell the era was coming to an end. You could already feel the scene starting to die and sadly so were a lot of other things in my personal life at the time. What a fun decade that was, though. I really, really miss it. Thanks for having the presence of mind to chronicle “a day in the life” from back then. Circumstances caused me to become separated from a lot of my own pictures and videos from that period so it’s cool to be able to walk down memory lane through someone else’s experiences.

The only thing you had like in the 60s may be in the 50s as well was just landline telephone, a car with just old school radio, tv with just five channels as we just got... But then again the upside there were board games of every kind if you went to the toy store that’s where you found all your fun things that I can’t even list off the bat nothing Eletronic, zero! And when the 80s rolled around things got more interesting👍👍😎 90s same thing and the rest well you can see that you were born then Ha ha

The Motley Crue and Metallica tshirts, Huntsville, AL, the Volvo station wagon, the 80’s mom, the original Sam’s Club they passed, the McDonald’s employee was actually friendly, got that hamburger jail deal on the outdoor playground, talking about Bill and Ted on the way home. Although I was too late for the 80s having only been born in 1994 and growing up in the 2000s, watching and seeing this old footage still very much captures the essence of those times! I mean we still used camcorders, vcr players, video tapes, cassettes back then, the early 2000s were no different from the 80s except technology was just slightly more advanced and abit better but still the same!

I'm pretty sure everyone watching this video and the other videos on this channel feels something nostalgic and something warm and kind... maybe it's an impression that it happened to each of us or it could happen... And there is such a big wish to be there at least for 5 minutes to feel this atmosphere looking at all these people, talking to them, hearing all these sounds, feeling all these smells.. It's hard to express in words all these feelings.. Thank you so much for these videos!

One of the reasons I love these videos is not just to see a time before I was born, but also to see Huntsville! A best friend of mine who I don't get to see much anymore lived there, and its a great place. I like what seeing the same places familiar to me looked like over 30 years ago. I appreciate the pure chance that these videos are set in Huntsville when they could have just as easily been in some city I've never even heard of.

I only had one guy so far, who was like that in 2008, but I did nothing illegal. He decided to suspect I was spying on him, when I didn't even film a tiny bit of him! And he had the nerve to be the criminal, by trespassing. By crossing Main St. to the front of where I lived. I did nothing illegal. I didn't commit copyright infringement either. I wasn't at a movie theater or at an NFL game, FGS!

The 70's for me, that was my time up until 1983 (when I graduated high school). Going to Mcee-Dees in the 70's was a real treat then. We (my brothers and Sisters all nine of us until my baby brother was born 1978) . We lived in a small Logging town in Idaho. (357 people at the time and that little town has not changed much today). McDonald's was 42 miles west of where we lived and Burger King 60 miles north. We. had one small mom & pop restaurant and five bars, you'd think one would be enough right. ( Got to make sure them loggers got good and drunk on Saturday nights). We also had one filling station one Mercantile store. Oh of course a little liqueur store too. One school from K to the 4th grade. 5th through 12th had to bus 17 miles to another small town for those grades (and still do today). Summers were filled with camping out in the park , woods and fishing at the reservoir (Mouse creek is what we called it) and ridding our bikes down old dust roads. One year after the last day of school a lot of us had a huge water balloon fight to celebrate the coming of summer vacation. I remember camping out in the backyard with my younger bother and sister. The night sky was so dark then you could see the entire Milky Way Galaxy, i would lay there wondering what was out there. Of course there weren't always good times, near the close of the seventies my parents divorced, myself my younger brother and sister had to go live with my dad some 600 miles away in Salem, Oregon. I did eventually move back to live with my mother to finish my High School years. Well that's a short history of my youth in small town America. What's yours.
