We hope all of you had a happy Thanksgiving weekend! We wanted to let everyone know that Oso is only tied up as a temporary solution until my mom gets the fence fixed. He continually hops the fence while my mom is at work and we don’t want him to get hit by a car. He’ll be running around with a new fence in no time 😇

Jan Gale, is that picture of you or your grandmother? If that is you, I would LOVE to make a video of me and you together reacting to a Trent and Allie episode! Seriously. We can make a coffee and we can record our call or video chat and I would love to put that on my channel I am starting. I would love to hear how you see this whole KZbin thing, with Trent & Allie, and your thoughts on it. The lady in that picture just is so sweet looking, that would be a great conversation😊 Edit: we could pick your favorite episode, or a new one, your choice my dear. This goes for anybody else in these comments, let’s have a fun, light hearted conversation about some of these episodes. Who else wants to do that too?

Thanks so much for taking us along on your stop at home & ER visit. I must admit, I was excited to see the goats & chickens, as well as GIANT OSO and SUPERHERO MOM! Watching the numbing process & hearing the doctor say "poke" was triggering my PTSD a bit, but I made it through, just like you did, Trent. It's a really good thing you got it taken care of - my 76 yr old mom had an injury to a finger on her left hand that she refused to have a doctor look at, even though the wound kept reopening & she kept accidentally tearing it open. Last week it "swole" so bad, she finally went to have it checked out - and ended up spending the week in the hospital on massive doses of several different types of IV antibiotics, because she had an antibiotic-resistant strain of staph infection. They ended up amputating the tip of her middle finger. Due to neuropathy, it never even hurt her, and she kept a good sense of humor about it. She asked the doctor if they could send that piece of her middle finger to her least favorite politician. Take care of each other, and thank you again for providing a window into a hopeful, happy, and loving world in the midst of all the chaos going on in the world right now. You're a good antidepressant! *much love to you both*

Your Mom is awesome, Trent!!! Thank her for all she does, please! Bless Her!!! We have 3 Great Pyrenees girls who protect our Alpaca. They are the most wonderful animals! Their temperament, loyalty, gentleness and love are legend! But, they do enjoy getting out of their pens to run! As they get older (2 years or more), they begin to settle down and enjoy their own area! Oso is so beautiful and he will be a great protector for your Mom, her property, the goat's and other dogs! Trust me! You wouldn't want to get on the bad side of a Great Pyrenees who is in protection mode!

@Haggis and Chips yes some damage can happen in shipping from manufacturer to point of sale. Most window companies want you to inspect them upon arrival, however if it's going to be a bit b4 ready to install I think it's better to leave the package on the screens are the most vulnerable. As I said b4 if the glazing is cracked the manufacturer usually will supply you a new sash complete and Don't want the damaged item back. This applies only to dbl sash casement and awning style. If it's a single hung and it's the upper glazing that's damaged then the company may or may not send a tech to fix but In the end someone will have to pull the keepers and remove the damage glass. That can be a PIA.

Since you advertised for them Trent they should fix your window for free. Brandon just rolls with it. He is definitely a great friend and worker which is hard to find. You both should have no problem finding a job after this is all done. Thank you for taking all of us for a fun visit to the Farm. Loved seeing Oso. He has gotten so big. He was happy to see all of you. Oso needs a Dog House for Christmas. It was also great seeing the goats and chickens. Did not think I was going to get to see your mom at work but Trent had to take us there. Thank god it was just a little cut. Your mom and Allie did a great job keeping you calm and rested. Started following you two about a week and a half ago & your building adventures remind me of my wife and my similar building experiences in southeastern BC, Canada over the last 16 years as we create our little piece of sanctuary in the Rockies. We two had limited building experience, but did it all during the summer breaks as we were both teachers so had summers off. Now retired & finishing off leftover tasks such as baseboards, backslashes and other little minor tasks, the knowledge built up is another skill added to our repertoire - you two are acquiring those skills that only can be taught through doing and doing it together. So much enjoy watching your posts. Good luck and thanks for the Great viewing. Wondering if you got the 4 wheel drive system working on your Dodge Cummins Diesel? We've had one since 2006 and if yours isn't working check with your local service provider to make sure the solenoid for the activation of the front differential when selected is working. I also noticed you have quite a narrow driveway/access point from the main road for getting trailers into the property - we do as well so to counter the difficulty of getting trailers into the driveway I installed a front class 3 receiver on our Dodge (attached to the frame under the front bumper) and when needing to put trailers where they need to go I simply switch the ball mount to the front of the truck (I actually have a specific ball mount just for the front that stays there) and maneuvering trailers now becomes a BREEZE. You can place them within millimetres of where you want them because you're driving them in instead of backing up. There you go. Looking forward to your next post. Thanks again for your enjoyable musings and life experiences.

I love Allie's authentic & genuine optimism because negativity is a burden that usually just piles up then burst/explodes! Although it may be a temporary relief to let it all out (by yelling or screaming), it is never a fix nor will the problem disappear on its own, and as a result, the stress persists until you leave the negativity behind & move forward with best efforts. I truly agree that the best way to solve a problem is by moving forward with a positive outlook, which seems to be the approach Allie & Trent have used throughout their project. Awesome attitude & way to go!!! 😇❤️

Listen, I think Brandon should get his appreciation, but it’s not like he is doing it for charity. He is getting paid. But when it’s said like Trent and Allie would be lost without him, and he is saving this build, well that’s just not true. I’m just have to be honest and completely fair.

Your mom is totally amazing! Allies parents are too! You are a great match! We had the triple layer glass replaced 23years ago in our window in Alaska when it broke, they can replace the glass without removing the window no problem. Thanks for keeping it real.

I guess the foam thermal buck means you only use caulk to secure the window because the window is forward of the frame?

I would expect that the outside flange of the windows is attached to the house framing by screws.....

...the foam thermal bucks are new to me....usually use wooden bucks with shims for adjustment when installing.....would need to be very high density foam in order no to crush under the weight of the window!...

Hey guys. Well when I read the title of this video my heart skipped a beat! I just imagined that you fell off the roof or something else just as horrible. I was so relieved to find out it was just a finger. Shame on you! Lol Seriously I look so forward to your videos and I've fallen in love with both of you. I'll be rooting for you two every step of the way. Big hugs from Nashville! 💞
