Really admire this wise man, even as a Chinese myself, I learn a lot by listening to him. Such a good video, why there are not many people watching it 真可惜。

Because this is a western platform and he's a Westerner and most people who see these shows are westerners and when they see him he's considered a traitor so they don't care what he has to say.

I'm so chuffed that Prof. Ames expresses exactly how I feel about the underlying principles of East Asian societies (not just China, Korea, Japan but even the countries in SE Asia like Thailand and Malaysia) which makes it so difficult to explain to Westerners who only know social structures based on left-right dichotomy. For me as a tourist guide in Singapore, this video provides an excellent synthesis of looking at societies in this other way. Thanks so much for this!

He hit the nail on the head, and highlighted why much of the West is falling apart, "Family" is being systematically broken apart by various methods, this is why China will remain standing long into the future long after the US for example falls apart or is severely handicapped, in my opinion
Well you better do it to us back then because we're going to do it.

The idea and objective is good. Wish the video goes a little deeper to talk about the Chinese philosophy, like the last part of the video “家“。

我觉得有点错:The Title Should be: A True Expert on Chinese Traditional Values! Why this Canadian Studies Chinese Philosophy for His Life? (Values, not "value"...and I believe he was born in Canada, unless he changed his citizenship), peace.

Dude ,you are just too young to know Confucian. This Confucian is just a boradest concept as you say which means you don't know it. Actually today in china, people are willing to know scince. Still, I encourge to learn some concept of Confucian even it isn't the major sream in China.
