I *would* be interested in a 5.56 AK but these PSA AK101's are having tons of problems with broken firing pins and stuff. They're not using the right kind of rivets and they're not dimpling the receivers either from what I've heard. It's just not made properly and there is something wrong with the metallurgy of the bolt/firing pin. The AK74 is having the same issues with bolt/firing pin breaking too. This issue has been known for several years, Garandthumb had it happen with his PSA Ak74 way back when he reviewed it.

@@armorers_wrench sounds like more of the same. Pretty much the same complaints i heard about the dagger. If this AK catches on they'll eventually get around to fixing it like they did with the dagger im sure. The real question for me is considering the previous experience they've had with the exact same issues on other firearms they've produced y the hell didn't they learn their lesson?

Once you start getting in the 2000 serial number guns they seem to be working. They’re not fixing any of the unsold pre 2000 numbered guns though. If you get one just send it back lmfaoo. My serial number 2332 101 has gone through 640 rounds. No Hiccups. My buddies number 1505 101 had to be sent back for firing pin at 300 rounds. Buddies number 920 didn’t even get 3 mags out before the pin went bad. They’re all around the 1k round mark now and running strong. If you don’t want to deal with fixing it or sending it back in to get it fixed go spend 1250 on a good import. I’m happy with my 750 purchase and so are my buddies that had to send them back.

@@MLMcNabb that seems to sum up how i approach PSA (and all new products/ tech really). I never buy brand new anything. The status quo of businesses these days is to let the consumer be the guinea pigs. They get to push out their product, service, etc at diminished cost to them and they know that a portion of consumers won't even bother returning it or even complaining. I don't buy anything that hasn't been in consumers hands for years and had the kinks worked out.

@@warrenlanham9088 it’s trash that we’re forced ino to being r&d. But I support psa even though I’ve had hiccups with their services and products. Their mission statement and lifetime warranty will keep me around. Just is what it is. That being said my girlfriends 430 dollar psa pa15 m4 has been awesome. Its serial number is in the hundreds of thousands. It took them a while to iron out their products. It’s kinda cool getting cheap guns per market price and being a part of the companies growth and mission statement. I also completely understand people not giving af about the mission statement or lifetime transferable warranty. Also understand the people that complain about the prices these days.

Mine has been flawless. Have you shot a PSA 101? Mine is an example of one but on Reddit and Twitter many nay Sayers haven't even shot one before by the way they talk about them.

They have a tendency to break firing pins like it's going out of style. And for the money they could at the least rivet the AKs right. By the way I am a Palmetto State armory person i go there first i buy more ammo from them then any other and I won't buy another AK from them

Lost me when he said " palmetto is know for their quality ak's and ar's". No sir , their known for their lack of quality ar15's , but hey better than nothing.

Psa is quality compared to other 420 dollar ar’s these days. Psa is also quality compared to my 1600 dollar 7 year old set up. The ak’s I’m a little nervous about. The ar’s have been good for a few hundred thousand units now lol.

New production guns are still coming out that barely work and have to be completely reassembled. When you can get s&ws and rugers for a little more and much better qc, the choice is obvious
@MLMcNabb3 ай бұрын
@@CatholicKit it’s really not worth it when you look at the build sheets. Both the rugar and the s&w use cheaper and less durable bcg’s and barrels. The psa barrel and fa bcg make it worth any hiccups you may get. The latest psa ar I bought is in the 200k serial number. Example: sn:254789 That’s a lot of units. Way more units than both s&w and rugar combined in the entry level ar category.

@@MLMcNabbthat plus the fact that they remedy any issues for free make it a no Brainer, if it's built to milspec it will run, and PSA has a rifle that keeps running despite gear queens like the guy above u claiming otherwise 😂

I like the PSA (AR) sample of 1 that I have, but I'm a noob, and like others have said, PSA isn't know for making high quality firearms. Can still review their stuff and not lie about that part. Unless that stipulation is in the contract.

I’ve been following one guys issues. PSA has now banned him from ever buying from their website just because he spoke up. Sad honestly. I really wanted to run an AK for the upcoming training season, but can’t find one decently priced as I will have to buy 2.

Same ol haters that bad mouth anything American made. If a tool maker is given crap material from a supplier, its not his fault the material can't be properly heat treated or hold up. 🤔 The best skilled can only work with what's given. It goes back to root cause, every time. It's a world wide issue not American only. We must support OUR COUNTRY, OUR MANUFACTURERS

My first PSA AK was not functional out of the box, the second one broke the firing pin on the 3rd round. I think IO made better AK's at this point. Not saying PSA aren't accurate because mine both were once they were fixed, but they are absolutely terrible in quality.

You told the biggest lie I’ve heard in a while within the first minute. PSA is absolutely not known for quality aks, not even quality firearms in general. I love PSA and their mission of arming America. But they do not manufacture firearms for serious gun owners. It’s fine to pick one up as a range toy, but please don’t lie about that. This video only diminishes trust in you and further diminishes any semblance of trust in PSA. I hope they get their shit together with these AKs because I don’t want to pay 2-3k for a 556 import but I don’t see myself ever trusting their AKs for anything serious.
