There are times I could always do more but I try not to get to down on myself because it's tough enough as is with all the constant, non-stop assaults from all angles from a speciesist society. It's exhausting but I just try to pick and choose my battles best I can. Like a boxer I look for my opening and take them when possible 😉💚🥗🤠💯

Very well said. I guess it's just tough for me when non-vegans I know like from my family, friends, or that I know or that I've worked with in the past that still do reach out and wish me a Happy New Year it's difficult because I know what they're responsible for and continue to be but with fellow vegans it's different because y'all are the only people on the planet I can truly identify with. No matter how dark inside my brain might be most of the time it's NOTHING compared to what a single nonhuman person is forced to go through and I keep that in mind. Happy new year 💚 I've learned that I'm absolutely nothing to anyone if I'm shattered! So I make sure the energetic and passionate butterfly's in/on/around me doesn't die 🦋 They make me fly aswell and only then can I be of any use to those who need it, the animals in particular and everybody else for that matter. So don't feel guilty for having fun also, it makes you stronger ❤ Now go party, celebrate the new year where we continue doing the best we can and that is something to be proud of. It's sure is a whole lot better and more than nothing or being an abuser ourselves 💚

@ethicallybasedexomnivore Of course it's also awful, I do cry and break down sometimes, it's like I feel their pain and helplessness, but that doesn't help them. It is such a heavy knowledge to have, so that's why I need the butterfly's ❤️ I just realized that I might have sounded a bit superficial... And I hope we all do feel some consolation and support from other vegans in here. It's good to know more and more are aware and doing what they can. We kind of have to be strong, cry a little bit and then encourage each other, things are happening, things are moving 💚🌿 But I do understand, we all have feelings, we're not desensitised and we should be proud of that ❤️

I totally get it. People in my street act as if they are loving, caring, human beings while offering me cakes made with dairy. They know what they are doing but they simply don't care and when I challenge them they try to paint me as the baddie. That I'm afraid is the nature of most people when it comes to challenging their "choices". We just have to stand strong in the face of it and imo call it out for what it is. As for "vegans" forgetting the victims, there has been such a growth of YT "entertainment" channels where people are using vegans and veganism to make wonga, that I am not surprised to hear you say that. I wish YT would raise the bar and they would all p off and stop vampirically sucking the lifeblood out of the caring. Anyway mate, I wish you as Happy a New Year as you are able to have, and if you continue to struggle to find any happiness then at least be happy that you are a real vegan 😎.

It drives me up the wall because I expect a certain standard in regards to basic principles from myself that I know most people around me and elsewhere are capable of. I've deduced it down to laziness, cowardice, apathy, and ignorance. But willful ignorance, especially in this day and age when information is easily accessible and mostly free. It's not that difficult to think, "Hey! I value my basic right MY bodily autonomy and I prefer to the right to be free from enslavement, exploitation, harm, unnecessary death, etcetera so maybe, just MAYBE I should think about extending that to others who probably desire and deserve the same...hmm. MAYBE I wouldn't want to be commodified so maybe other nonhumans would appreciate the same?" It's REALLY that easy. But acknowledging that means actually taking personal responsibility for doing so and they would've want to rub their families and friends and partners with such inconvenient TRUTHS now, would they? Because that with cause some minor discomfort. And we, as creatures of habit can't risk offending the status quo or negative peace. Because that's so much worse than being raped into existence just to be enslaved, harmed, and killed. And don't even get me started on food channels using terms like "vegan" yet never or barely discussing what Veganism ACTUALLY is about because they don't want to lose subs or views over pesky things like defending innocent victims against injustices. And I get it. But that's why I chose to decide that I'm tired of seeing Veganism gain popularity over stuff that isn't even about animal rights or liberation while the actual content is less and gets the bottom of the barrel, erasing the victims in pursuit of being liked to get that gold plaque. I'm vegan because I want a better world; a better society. I don't just want a society where speciesism still exists but we have more vegan restaurants or vegetarian/vegan restaurants or animal prisons, lab experimentation. I want to work towards a more just and fair society that one day looks back on us and can't even imagine or fathom that we viewed our nonhuman brothers and sisters as anyone less than an individual. I know it can sound crazy but given the current framework we live in of course it does. But I refuse to accept current thought. Anyways...thank you SO very much for being here and I TRULY hope this year affords you the best. TRULY 💯🙏💚🥗🤠
