Robinhood179 the whole point of my comment is that something smaller (of anything) is harder to measure tho For example, if I try to measure something that is about 10 cm with a ruler that has a 5 cm error, it means that I have a 50% error, but if I measure something about 1000 cm with the same ruler, I only have a 0.5% error. In this case, there probably more than a hundred years of error when measuring the age of an object billions of years old, which is a very small error when compared to the age of said object, but huge error when compared to human lives.

The reason for their long life was simple life and they grew their own food whole life no artificial food they ever eaten. Before the flood, people's age was calculated by the month. So, who lived until he was 969 was actually about 80 years old. 969 divided by 12 equals 80.75. After the flood, people's age was calculated by the year. I don't have any proof, it just makes sense to me.

You are right unless otherwise proven to be wrong. Ancient people can see both the sun and the moon. The sun is too bright to see its details and changes. So the change in the shape of the moon becomes a better choice for timing. At that time, they may not know it needs seven leap months in nineteen years to match with the solar year methodology. Therefore, a person aged 969, to be more precise, died at 969 / (19 x 12 + 7) x 19 = (969 / 235) x 19 = 78.34 in present time. I think you have solved a mystery.

I've seen your comments around before Michele Travis, nice to see one again! As for your "calculations" and "summary", I haven't put much thought or math into the "Bible" or other "Religious books" as I haven't deemed them necessary of the extra effort. I really don't care too much about the lifespan of people back in "Biblical" times, as there was no way to verify a person's age back then, we can only guess and go from there. I start paying attention in the 1450-1650 period, particularly after about 1700. But I will say this: I would take inquiries about the real ages of some of the "main Bible characters" with a "grain of salt", and an age of about 80 seems a bit much for that time, of course we still don't know a "ton" about the period, and we may never. Age 80 and above has consistently become more common over the last few centuries (especially since the 1700's) and better health and technology has allowed the "genetic scope" to widen. Or shrinken, whichever you prefer. Even in places like India and the mid east, 80 has no doubtedly become very reachable. In many African regions, however, this remains to be determined.

Namaste. I'm a Nepalese, been living in Nepal for almost over 30 years and I can tell you why this video is probably real. And to do this, I'm about to make a big claim, forgive me as I have no means to back my story up. Let me introduce you guys to a short old named Bhimsen Baje who turned 116 a month ago. He's very old, has saggy cheek skin, and he can speak! But you won't understand him: not because he speaks in Nepali, but because he has no teeth! I asked his grandson Shreehari (63, farmer) about how he was able to live that long. He told me that for his lifetime, he did lots and lots of physical work in his vast fields (plow, sow, harvest, etc - without any machines) for long hours at day, and living totally on self grown organic food. Furthermore, here's what he emphasized on - Bhimsen has been smoking weed for almost a hundred years. He still continues to smoke today from 5 AM in the morning to 10 PM at night, with hefty amount in the huge bong each time. Shreehari also told me smiling his grandfather never had any serious illness as far as he knows because they eat the Prasad (sacred offering) of Lord Shiva and that's why they never fall sick. I got really curious. If he was right, this meant what the people used locally was a much powerful medicine than any prescribed by a doctor. This also meant I was misled. I started to inquire a lot of variety of people who smoked weed - around my hometown in the capital, some remote Himalayan villages when I went trekking and not to forget the famous ancient pothead shamans living in the temples. In the world heritage site Pashupatinath temple, I questioned few Nepalese shamans and surprisingly, also few of 'Rastafari' looking Americans and Europeans about this. Of course, as a skeptic, I didn't believe all the things they said. But from that day, I started to take notice of what I had been ignoring for long and what changed the way i look at things. There's one thing common between what the villagers and shamans claimed. They happily said that they never really got seriously sick, of course, except for occasional common cold! And ironically, their diet might be organic but relatively poor on nutrients and its variety. This guy in the video has a similar story to tell. These things don't happen elsewhere in the world because it's it's very uncommon to hoard sacks and sacks of weed without being noticed by the police, eat only organic foods and also do have to lots of physical work. But in Nepal, agriculture is the primary occupation, the cultivation is done without machines and the fields are huge. So that means a lot, lot of physical work, Plus, marijuana has religious importance here and smoking weed is not a dangerous crime. We also have a festival dedicated to smoking and eating marijuana. People hoard sacks of marijuana at home in order to feed their cattle few days before they are killed for meat to make sure they don't eat a sick animal. Stray weed grows almost everywhere in uncultivated lands, roadsides, and not to our surprise, there's nobody who's interested to pluck it, not even the police. Also, the weed strains that grow here are very potent. Half of the population in the hills and mountains grow weed in their compounds. So you easily could larder bags of weed at your home that can last for the whole year, until the next harvest. So that means abundance and quality. That's about it, the major difference in living in Nepal and any other developing country and something that really fascinates me. If you guys are new to marijuana's medicinal qualities, I'd suggest you you search for genuine sources for researches on Marijuana which describe its anti-aging properties. Dr. Robert Bob Melamede has claimed it to be a powerful anti-aging drug, you can Google him. It's up to you to believe or not, but you can examine the facts. If marijuana is actually the most powerful anti-aging drug, then we might be missing out on something very important. Plus, we have other ways to use it than getting high, try googling hemp oil, medical marijuana. Lastly, I can't even be sad if you guys do not agree with me, because I'm happy that even though it's been outlawed here, my family, friends and the ones who need it for medicinal purposes has access to plenty of it. It's the whole pharmacy.

You just called a million people - people like me who support and are trying to legalize marijuana for good reasons as 'potheads'. You can't call someone a pothead just for supporting marijuana! And stop judging people, or cultures you know nothing about. Do you even know the conditions of remote Nepal? People know nothing about health education here and tens of thousands of people die every year either because they don't have money to pay for hospitals fees or they live in a location so remote that it's impossible to take the patient to the hospital on time. And don't forget, many parts of the country have yet to get their first roadways. In a place like this, if a plant that's already growing in plenty in people's homes can cure so many diseases, save lives in emergencies then it sure is a life savior! Awareness must be spread to inform the people about the plant's potential to heal.

This isn't a matter of opinions. It's a matter of facts; and its stupid to discuss this topic without learning the facts about this plant. The point of my discussion was about the true medical potential of marijuana that we had been aloof from, for decades! And just like always, it ends with two groups of people discussing for and against pot legalization merely for smoking. You do realize there are numerous people who are dying right this minute because of alcohol or cigarettes, don't you? You don't seem to care about people getting wasted, and violent on alcohol, physically addicted to cigarettes in 3 days and struggling for 3 years to quit! I'm sure if alcohol wasn't so bad that it didn't give a nasty hangover the next day, there'd be millions more people on earth who'd sit on their beds drinking alcohol and playing video games all day. It's actually a very good thing about marijuana that doesn't give you any hangover, blackout or death out of overdose so people can smoke it whenever they want! I think It's foolish to believe the system cares for us so much that they want us not to waste our time relaxing on the bed and actively contribute to the society by competing for mediocre jobs. A decent society isn't the one where all the people have jobs and do not waste their time. If people find peace and joy in what they do, that is a safer, better society.
