Going into lobbies that are just Hard-Overkill filled with newbies and just having fun helping them is so much better than going into DSOD heists where you can't goof around and have a fun time as well.

When I played Payday 2 a lot, I stuck to Overkill difficulty. That's not to say I couldn't handle Mayhem or Death Wish, I just preferred a level that kept me awake without being ball-bustingly hard and demanding specific loadouts with specific combinations in order to flourish. There was no shortage of newbies, both in stealth and combat. Some were able to learn from my insight. Most others did not. It was a nice time all the same.

I agree, I very rarely go above Mayhem difficulty these days, because I just want to have fun with the game and not take it super seriously
