Class vs teacher didn’t work for my class this year. I have certain kids who just always talk, don’t follow directions, etc. They were dragging the whole class down. We are trying table points which seems to be working better…for now.

I have questions about your prize board/ point system. 1. Where are the sticks to puking the points? Do they draw once a week or each day? Do they win a prize for each time they draw, or is it just to fill in that space on the prize board?

Great tips! We use Benchmark as well but it’s so dry and challenging for the kiddos. Do you enhance it in any way to jazz it up?

Is there a video where you talk about the point system (teacher vs student) in more depth(materials, etc)? My students have the hardest time with transitions and of course the losing and dropping of pencils.

When you do centers do you have both 2nd and 3rd graders at any given center each doing something different or do you have 3 2nd grade centers and 3 third grade centers? You are so organized and energetic!

Do you not use the writing in Benchmark? We started Benchmark (2022 edition) this year, and it does all essays for third grade from day one. It’s way beyond where my (gifted) students are!

Regarding the printer, do the prints end up being more expensive than at WalMart? Do you have the printer strictly for convenience or is it cost-effective as well? I don't need one for the convenience, but rather for a less expensive option than Wal Mart.

Our district is that way also. Two 15 minute recesses and no lunch recess. 🙃
