The bike looks a lot better without the windscreen as well 👍

Ural makes a H4 headlight assembly that will go into the spotlight housing and you can use the spotlight as a second headlight.

It was great looking at your Ural . The upgrade is what I would call need upgrade to make the motorcycle drivable

Thanks! I didn’t want to say Accessorize 🤣. But all of these accessories do upgrade my driving experience. Thanks for tuning in!

I just added the sidecar tall windscreen. I have the high mount exhaust and it was making me sick from all the fumes, the sidecar windscreen adds the cross breeze that clears out the fumes.

Nice. I have the windshield too but it does work with dog.

That aux. gas tank could have come in handy when I was in my riding days.

it is the best!

That auxiliary gas tank looks like a beer keg. You sure you ain’t hauling beer in there big guy ??? LOL If ever there was a motorcycle that you could drink and drive, it would definitely be that one !!! Thanks for sharing.

Nice accessories. I see you buy stuff from UralNE. Would be interested in more details of the seat, rear gas canister, and head temp gauges. Thanks!

Alan, email them from their web page, Dmitry generally replies... My Gear Up and Retro came from there, my M70 may still be there for sale.... that seat is interesting...
@GasTachs4 жыл бұрын
The seat is a god send. mine came with the Ural Tractor seat and "padding" but for long rides it wasnt the best. I can find this seat anywhere now but I do also shop from www.ural-shop.com/. I did put one more rubber "Spring" in under the seat too. As for the Rear Gas Canister, are you talking about the one I added and linked to the current tank, or the one on the side of the sidecar? The Temp gage is nice to have and Super easy to install, I did get that from UralNE.com. It just give me the peace of mind when I'm going 70mph for 2 hours on the highway...

@@JamesAllmond Yup, picked mine up from them too. Then drove it back to Chicago. Very Helpful guys.

Thanks for the reply. Your seat looks nice and comfortable. I have a tractor seat with standard padding (not gel), and I have done 12-13 hour rides on it. I live in the western part of USA, and sometimes towns are really far apart. I installed a second 10 liter gas can in place of the shovel, so now I won’t worry about running out of gas.

Thank you for the video. I’ve just purchased my first Ural 2015 gear up) and so far love it! Where did you purchase the six fuel tank?
@GasTachs4 жыл бұрын
No problem. Go to ebay and search AUX gas tanks or Buggy gas tanks or dune buggy gas tanks a bunch show up! Enjoy your Ural!

I actually can’t remember where I purchased it... maybe Ural of New England website? 🤷🏼♂️

How do you put anything on the front luggage rack with the spotlight sticking right up through the middle 0f it?

its really only small things like jackets etc

in Ural speak, those are farkles...many farkles on that one. Winch/rope puller. come-along best one IMHO. About the 300 miles on a Ural, without stopping, uh. take it from a guy with 109K on one of his Urals, just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Have learned that by blowing the lower end out of 3, yes 3 new Urals in less than 8K each... Nice bike. Remember, it's not just a motorcycle. it's a Ural. Putting up with them is part of loving them. I have 3...why? Dunno.
@alanottley4 жыл бұрын
Haha... I have done a 13 hour stint with a tractor seat as well as a 12 hour stint (Utah to California and back). Much more comfortable than riding my harleys, which killed my back. Not to mention 100* on the way and 35* on the way back.
@GasTachs4 жыл бұрын
Hahaha Thanks for your comment! Yes a lot of Farkles. Driving 300 miles in a day is solely to get home when I told my wife I would... I tend to do long, boring drives to a destination to then do nice, relax or adventurous ride. Most times I wait too long to start heading home, which leaves me with 300 mile days.
@GasTachs4 жыл бұрын
@@alanottley When I purchased the bike from Ural New England, I did 2 - 13+ hour days on that tractor seat, thats why I upgraded. I purchased a 2010 with only 70km on it in 2016 so I needed to break the engine in still, hince the long days, not too many highways taken for a 1300 trip..
@alanottley4 жыл бұрын
Agree with that - avoid the highways and go on secondary roads as much as possible!
@whatsstefon4 жыл бұрын
What happened to blow the lower end?
@philpfirrmann77294 жыл бұрын
But wait there's more !!!. You said you do 300 mile ride days now and then. Does the engine temp change much ,compared to around town and back road rides? If so, I saw that Ural makes a oil cooler that gets mounted along the side of the sidecar. Not the best location in my opinion, but the added oil capacity should help especially in hot weather.,,,,

I don't think I've ever seen a hand shifter on a bike. Are the clutch mechanics the same?
@GasTachs4 жыл бұрын
yup all the same, it's actually linked to the foot shifter so when you shift with your foot it also moves. its unique and fun!
@danrussell34394 жыл бұрын
I added the shifter because the foot shifter was awkward to use on the ural
@GasTachs4 жыл бұрын
Dan Russell when I use the foot shifter i used my heel for up shifts
@danrussell34394 жыл бұрын
Gas Tachs yes I was also doing that. I had made a hand shorter on another motorcycle I was restoring. When I saw there was an after market kit I went for it. Can’t shift as fast as the foot shifter but it interesting and does the job.
@cptjusticegmail4 жыл бұрын
@@GasTachs I like the heel shifter, but I use the ball of my foot. The resulting stomp makes a very satisfying "kthunk" sound.

i dont but i have been an old video of some young people traveling the world on one. they got to a river crossing that was 10' deep and they put a rope to the ural swam across and pull the ural thru. they replaces all the oil and drained the water and kept going! pretty sweet!
