I had a 2009 370Z a decade ago, and it's still one of my favorite cars. It's a really fun car on the street and with a few mods it can be a solid weekend track toy. The community (at least back then) was also really strong, with a ton of modding options. It was a super well documented car. I imagine that now things are even better. I actually didn't know about the gallery gaskets, that must've been an issue that popped up after I sold mine.

i’ve said this before, having owned both first gen 86 and nd2 Rf i enjoy my current 370z more than those cars. like most people I don’t give shit about that technical stuff and nimbleness some of the journalists yap about! Z handles more than good around twisty roads and has power for straights
@charlottetownspud79033 ай бұрын
those are the 3 cars im looking at . except im looking at the 2nd gen 86. why should i lean towards the 370 in your opinion?
@John-i1g2 ай бұрын
@charlottetownspud7903 He got it right in short - as much handling as most people need and power for the straights. A longer reply is: I love cars and love the 86 and Miata. No beef at all with anyone chosing one. For me, in a 370Z you get the same benefits of size (I live in New Zealand and we basically have 80% tight twisty mountain roads) as them, but the potential with bolt ons, for muscle car style driving experience. I've done a lightweight flywheel, 3.9 final drive, exhaust, tune and bunch of other stuff. You get an idea from this video how it goes - when he does the pulls, you can see decent power that you're not going to get from an 86 or Miata without something really costly like boosting them. Another but related factor is for the money, it just feels a bit more special, an event, when you drive it, because you're in a different performance league, you've got a V6 not a 4 etc. As I said I love cars and looked at the Mustang too, love it, but went for the Z because the Mustang is wrong for the roads I drive here. Each to their own, they are all great cars 😊

Ohhhh that's a great question. I think it more boils down to what you want in terms of a car setup. @@soundkillr but this car isn’t “modern” this car is from 2009 and there’s too many tuner cars that I can think of from that period that is way more desirable for 20k!
