Hi im a 15 year old swimmer from sweden. And swim a good 50m freestyle in 22.58. My favorite stroke is backstroke where i do 2.01 in the 200m and 56.00 in the 100. I want to be a backstroker and am really trying to learn as much as possible about swimming (how to increase performance, best way of training, Recovery, mentality ect.) and i came across USRPT and really enjoy your videos. Right now i swim about 4-5k meters, maybe 7-8 times a week. And i am always improving my PB. I our way of training works very well for me, at my age Its the "best way" to train. But somethings i would want to change is swim more of my best strokes (back). Cause now i swim maybe 1k meters back when we have a 4-5k meter session. Do you think Its important to only swim what i want to be good at right now, or individualise later on when I'm 17-18?. (3,4,5k meters back). And how do backstrokers swim/train in the USA. Is it very individual training?. And what is most important to train now? (meters, technique, speed, USPRT)? I don't really know much about all of this yet but I'm trying to learn . And have decided USRPT is not something for me now because what i do works very good for the 200m back but on the other side its really hard for me to get my arm movement speed up when I'm sprinting (50,100 back) Tips to improvement there?. Tips and tricks appreciated!

Only thing wrong with this video is that you would not do 30, it should say maximum 30 and you stop when you can’t hold the pace

50 is kinda more planning the course, if its long course break it down by 15 or 25 meters. For 50 free though you want to do it on minimal rest and trying to hit the same average by tenths (.1 to .2) otherwise its not as correlated to your times. Exp 4 x 25 free on 15,want to average under 11.0 for each to break 22.0. If I go 11.4 or 11.5 or higher for more than one then stop.
