We were blessed that you all shared your videos with us! This showed people who do not realize the work that goes into harvesting the veggies that they purchase in the big grocery stores. It made me want to plant many things that I planted years ago! Love and hugs to all and praying for a prosperious year for everyone, God bless each and every one of you!! PS: I hope someone got Grandpa some new sleep pants for Christmas!! LOL

I loved this recap of last year. I saw every episode and it was great seeing all the highlights again (especially seeing Callie growing and changing throughout the year). Seeing those trucks and wagons loaded with those beautiful colorful veggies made me even more anxious for planting time this year. Also got a chuckle hearing the "I dropped a beet" and seeing your mud mishap since I know you didn't get hurt badly. Looking forward to another year watching you and your wonderful family.

Love seeing the year in review -- it really emphasizes how hard your entire family works to grow and bring food to the table. I love watching how you do it all! Would love to hear more about your cover crops and how you keep your soil healthy and productive. For me, as a community garden-type of gardener, I'm always looking to understand how to treat my little allotment with more care.

Andrew, thank you for opening up your family business as you have done so with all of us who care about our food and attempt to grow some of it in our backyard gardens. I have learned so much since I found you over the summer. I want to grow peppers like you do and other crops as see on your channel. Since I started watching in the mornings and begin my day and get ready for work, I am pumped up to get back home to do a little gardening or start a tray of something to eat but also annuals/perennials. Again, thank you and your family for being so generous with your hard work and commitment to growing food, and to show the hard work that it takes to grow them. I can’t wait for 2023! God bless all of your family and would like to get one of those apple pies from mom one day, they look so good. Rafael

I cannot imagine how hard it is to not fall off of the planter. I would definitely need a seat belt! I guess the only thing harder might be driving so very slowly. You really cannot even accelerate! Those machines are simply amazing. My fav of all might be the seed planter thingy. Watching those 500+ seeds fall into their little homes is such fun for some reason. Thanks for sharing your year with us. Although I, like most everyone else, saw the videos as they came out, it was good to rewatch. You can never get enough of Grandpa’s humor, Joel’s laugh, and especially watching Callie grow into a veggie girl! May 2023 be the best year ever for your farm, your channel, and your wonderful families.

You and your family had such amazing year and such a great and wonderful harvest. I didn’t miss a single video in 2022. I look forward to each and every video. I have learned so much about planting and growing different vegetables. You are all truly amazing people. I really would like for you do to a video with Grammy, would love to hear her life story, learn more about how she got into canning, baking and just doing all the many jobs she does. She works so hard everyday, fixing breakfast sometimes and doing lunch everyday and even supper at times. How long has she lived on the farm, does she own the land? Was it her parents that started the farm? What is her most favorite part of farming? I just think allot of people would enjoy it and I really think Grammy would enjoy doing it. Sometimes I feel like she gets over looked, I would love to hear about your family history has everyone lived there all their lives? How did you meet your wife? With her living in Gloria, and you there? Was it your brothers doing too how you both got together since he is married to her sister. Where did Petie come into the picture? I’d her a new part of the farm? Did you all hire him on full time? I know your family has farms not far from your farm, of it a part of the property you all are on? And is the women who work in the farm market their wives? Sorry for such a long comment just thought would be something to put out during the winter months, due to you all not having allot of content to put out. Thanks Andrew for amazing year, and allowing us to be a part of this year looking forward to this new year and all the great things that are coming our way.

Great video. This also shows people that if they take some effort to buy seeds or starter plants, what they will get when it is time to pick those veggies. It puts a vegetable in their own hand instead of buying them at the grocery store. My grandmother loved her garden. She was a huge fan of different types of lettuce. She called me in for lunch one day and asked me if I ever had a wilted lettuce salad. I said no. She put a couple of kinds of lettuce in a bowl. She cut up a sweet onion and some red bell peppers. In a pan she had bacon frying. When it was done she added in some sugar, vinegar and water and some kind of spice. She poured that warm mixture over the salad and we ate. My Lord was that delicious. You can't keep any leftovers because it will just rot quickly if you don't eat it. To this day I make a wilted lettuce salad at least once a month. I like a piece of butter bread with mine so it's my dinner. My best effort last year was taking 20 gallon patio pots and filling them with sand, dirt and mulched leaves. I planted Santa Claus melons and went out every 2 days and checked on them. After they really took off I watered them everyday. A patio pot has a huge advantage because those roots get the water I put on. Unlike if they would be in the ground and all that ground is soaking up my water on a hot july day. Those melons grew to be about 10 lbs each and you can keep them for a couple of months without rotting. I sold the seeds before 12 for $8.00 as a side income. That money I used to buy really good heavy grade pots of all sizes to increase my plantings. Plastic totes with rope handles are ideal and the 20 gallons ran me $12 each on sale. I bought larger sizes and filled them to almost the brim with my soil mixture and planted my potatoes in them. When they were ready, I dumped the container, picked up the potatoes and was ready for next year. This was a great video to make people literally see and want to eat those fresh veggies.
