I just cannot take the smell of the Pattern Beauty products. Thanks to you I tried Obia Naturals last year. A FAV. My new favorite combo is UFK Curly Magic, Obia Naturals Curl Enhancing Custard and Innersence I Create Hold as my topper gel. Tried and true curl definition, hold and a natural looking shine. Love, Love, Love it. Thanks.

The smell ruins the products for me too. I feel like Kreyol Essence has some of the best products on the market because they smell good and promote healthy hair growth.

Your twists were banging!!!! I may have to try the Pattern custard. Braid out was fire too. ORS lock and twist get is still an oldie but goodie!!!

This custard worked well in your hair the style looks very cute. The lippie is hitting!! I haven't used any of Pattern Beauty products yet. The only one I'm interested in trying is the mask in the brown jar.

Right?! A subtle scent would appeal to more people.

They may have ingredients in there that are naturally very funky that they are trying to mask. If that's not the case I'm not sure why they would do that.

The smell will stop me dead cold!! Just like MO Knows Hair, love some of those products too. But, the smell gave me massive headaches 😩

I rarely comment, but I wanted to give the tip of using the Pattern custard with a mousse. That’s how I got it to work for a wash n go for me. I used Maui Moisture’s mousse bc that’s what I had, but I think others would mix well with it.

Great tip! Was the custard the primary styler while the foam topped?

@@WhatTheKink yes! I used the Pattern leave-in as well (it’s actually a staple for me, which prompted me to try her other products), then custard, then mousse/foam to finish.

I believe I had an allergic reaction to that fragrance. It’s too floral! I always have issues with floral scents breaking me out. Pattern has good customer service though because they refunded me and I didn’t have to return the products so I donated them since I only used them once.

Definitely should be used for braid outs and twists out... but wng is a no.
