Nice one. I don't mind the hungover games, it gives me a chance to keep up. :) Although I fail to see why you couldn't castle at 11:38. Is it because you were down a bishop?

Uh no, castling looks very sensible. Probably no logical reason.

You got him in the end Ben, otherwise it was an object lesson in why you don’t move pieces twice in the opening and why development is all. Thanks mate.

I beat someone from the USA in what was a very good and competitive game. Some months later I played them again and they wiped the floor with me - scoring over 98% accuracy with no mistakes and no inaccuracies. It does get you thinking. Or as an old Jewish friend once said 'I'd complain but who'd listen'.

Don't worry about the drinking too much Ben, it all levels out as you get older. A bit like the libido!

I wonder if you’d still agree that ‘sport should stay out of politics’ if Russia decided to invade the UK? You’d be happy for them to continue participating in global events and wouldn’t feel a sense of betrayal from purported allies?

So lets restrict a regular citizen who may have nothing to do the conflict from flying their nation's flag or other sportspeople from entering global competition because of the actions of a warmongering elite. That's effective is it?

I honestly have no idea how I'd feel in that situation.
