Dry rides really separate ride techniques. Absolutely superb.

No rest for the wicked eh? You nailed it. I like the Ahmad Jamal version that has a 3/4 B section which provides some more rhythmical interest and gives the band a bit of a breather!

Hi Greg Yes, I know Jon. He is retiring from ECU soon after a stellar career there.

Woo-wee! Is that intro a new thing or was that part of the original composition? I I've only ever heard people play the verse/chorus.
@rickdior2 жыл бұрын
That's the original Clifford Brown/Max Roach intro.
@catfishrushdie14442 жыл бұрын
@@rickdior Thanks! I suspected that it was in the original, but most people don't play it.

What was your cymbal setup for this gig?
@michaeldangelomusic2 жыл бұрын
My guess: 18" Old K Crash/Ride 22" Paiste Signature Traditionals Light Ride 24" Bosphorus Turk Flat Ride There's not a great angle on the hats but I'll venture a guess it's either a pair of 14" Sabian Artisan Hats or 15" Old K's
@rickdior2 жыл бұрын
Mike only knows that because he was fed a steady diet of those cymbals when he was a youngster.
