Even a patient dog still has 4 paws to put socks on, it also needs a very patient caregiver !!! Very nice yarn color today. get rest, Nicole, and take good care of yourself.

It’s been wonderful having a relaxing episode of the gentle knitter each day! I sit down with a mug of tea and some knitting and soak it all in!

I have really been enjoying your Vlogmas episodes. I have a grapevine wreath in my kitchen that I have put pieces from the tree at the front of my home (mosses, bark ). Today I went to the back of my home and gathered pieces of dried plants and added them to the wreath. I was so inspired by your beautiful wreath.. I really like the result. I have been following both Yukari Takahara's applique and Yoko Saito's work for quite a while, and when I saw Yoko's new book that you bought at the shop I quickly ordered it. It arrived today, and I am thrilled. Thanks for these and so many other inspiring things. These will make my Nova Scotia winter pass beautifully.

I love that you're knitting socks for Marcel! That is such a wonderful thing to do! Love the beautiful peachy yarn as well! 🍑🍑🍑

Just love the doggie socks! They are adorable. I've used the Paton's Kroy Sock Yarn from JoAnn's or Michael's (US) too and love it. I will definitely look for this colorway. It looks like the beautiful yarns that you are revealing each day are from my home state of Michigan! Nice. I definitely want to order some...so pretty.

Your Vlogmas os such a wonderful gift and a real treat, Nicole. Thank you so much! I'm really excitedly looking forward to your mushroom book. I must admit to being somewhat obsessed about photographing wild mushrooms here in Scotland, so can't wait to be able to knit a few of my favourites too.

Hi Nicole. I have a possible idea for a vlogmas episode: maybe you could show us your knitting pattern book collection or a couple of your absolute favorites from your collection? That would be amazing for a beginner like me!!

Absolutely amazing greyhound socks! I hope he loves them 🧦. Would you mind sharing the amount of stitches you cast on? I’m thinking of making some for our Zephyr 🐺 💙. You are a comfort and an inspiration 🍄🍂 ❄️

Hi Nicole, I am really enjoying your vlogmas episodes. I only just found out you were doing it and it’s so lovely to hear and see you again. You are wearing a very pretty brooch, can you remember the maker?
@thegentleknitter3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I bought it through the Honer Och Eir web shop many years ago. It's by a Kazakhstan ceramic artist, but I don't have the name.

Cute socks. Marcel will be the envy of the neighbourhood. You said you make a rounded toe. I have never tried that. Is there a pattern you could recommend? Thank you for sharing your Christmas time with us. Take Care.
@thegentleknitter3 жыл бұрын
Hi Donna, I don't know of a specific pattern that features a rounded toe, however I would imagine there are tons of tutorials and instructions you could find here on KZbin or Google. It's a very common technique (similar to making the crown of a hat). Happy hunting!

@@thegentleknitter Thank you. I have looked around and found some, just thought you might of had a favourite when you mentioned it. Take Care!
