When my friends are back in my locality, we wake up early Saturday morning just for misal pav breakfasts!! Having early morning breakfast with friends, that's what gets me up early in those few Sundays. Btw, susegado , great beer

I've been there maybe 15 or more years ago. Been meaning to go back sometime. What's your go-to order? Any dish you'd recommend?
@christinaaranha51143 ай бұрын
@@MagaliVaz you can try the pork chilli fry, pork aad maas, sausage chilli fry. Their sorpotel is also good. 😀

Do you guys make fugiyas?
@MagaliVaz3 ай бұрын
No, that's a very easy Indian thing no? I used to die to have them in Bandra. Last year a friend Christel brought me a huge amount, vacuum packed from Mumbai! Im still so grateful for it.

@@MagaliVaz couple of years back we had gone to a restaurent in North Goa, named Fugiyas, expecting then too serve fugiyas. Guys where serving Chinese...😂

@@MagaliVaz The reason they gave is that their regular Goan Chef went on his cruise job and they were "in-between" hiring a local Chef. Anyway, why I mentioned Fugiyas because it clicked with the unndoo; I initially thought may be it is another name for Fugiyas in some parts of Goa..But the bread on table looked more like a marriage of Pav and Bun.

Was this your first time trying beef tongue? How was the sensory experience of eating it?

Nooo it's a Goan Catholic staple & I grew up with my mom making it, but it's not as common in Mumbai and I used to get shocked reactions even at Sunday School because some Catholics even with Goan backgrounds had never heard of it. I love when mom makes it but it's nice to try so many succulent versions at local places here. Have you tried it?
@yyvette2 ай бұрын
@MagaliVaz I haven't yet, I'm intrigued by it after hearing about it years ago where they mentioned the texture in particular - that it's delicate at the tip and gets more fibrous towards the base. I think it's practically unheard of where I currently live though

Only bad thing about Goa is lack of air conditioning in the restaurants
@MagaliVaz3 ай бұрын
I don't see it as bad personally. Yeah in mumbai I absolutely needed AC but most of the time I'm happy here with shaded, well ventilated spaces. Multiple times when there's an indoor (AC ) & outdoor section, I'll choose to sit outdoors anyway. I guess it's just personal preference.
