I'm glad to hear you're doing well despite some negative experiences in life. 👏 Maybe it was due to Covid, but during that time a couple of my closer contacts went in directions I didn't like and so things had to end unfortunately. Also I'm taking a break from evening school after 4 years. Different reasons, no toxicity, just not worth the pain etc. But that decision ties well with what I think you mentioned when you named your reasons for moving to South Korea. Opportunities being close and more comfort. I grew up rural most of my life and back then it really to me was like the bigger city was soooo far away, I couldn't even reach it. Now I'm living central in a small city with quite a lot of opportunities and that makes my life so much easier, but also challenging when trying out new things. But the longer the distance to anywhere you would want to go, the less likely I would go there. I wish you all the best for 2023. Stay healthy and strong. 👋🌟💪

NICE!!!! I think the accent may(?) be a challenge but aside from the weather I’m sure you’ll fit in very well! I’m not sure I’ll the best person to be making a video like that since I’ve not been to Liverpool in 5 years of so 😭😭 I’ll try to find some recent/relevant videos and drop them in the comments here. Overall, as with studying anywhere, just dive in carefree and really soak it all up, enjoy every moment, make friends and have fun!

@@Laurenade most definitely the accent is the hardest part. I’ve found some people sound “more American” in their accent so to speak that some peoples accent aren’t very thick and some vowels sound more American to my ear, but by no means are American. Then there’s the people that I’ve came across and it sounds like a totally different language 💀💀💀💀. Def loving my trip so far bʊt sadly I will be returning tomorrow morning. I really wish I could stay longer. I’ve done so much in only three days from Liverpool to north wales, sight seeing around the city, the uni and so on. I’ve done my research before coming here: studying the accent, how people speak, the Scouse slang video you made was frickin absolutely 200% helpful, etc etc. if anything I was showing my dad around Liverpool and the bus routes by the time we’d gotten to Hanover St 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. But between you’re videos and other KZbinrs I’ve seen it’s probably the most prepared I’ve been for a trip ever 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I'm sorry to hear that you've had to deal with intrusive and inappropriate comments. It's not a perfect analogy but I liken KZbin videos to pieces of art - in which case the video viewers are entitled to nothing (personal or otherwise) of the artist beyond what the artist has actively chosen to put into that particular piece of art. Therefore comments by viewers ought, in an ideal world, to be both respectful and relevant to the video content. Anyway, great content. I was struck by what you said about coming from a village. I grew up in a village too and now live in a city (albeit one with only a 100,000 population) and though the memories are fond I don't think I could ever go back to village life again now. :)

I get embarrassed reading mostly male commenters to female content creators in general that choose to comment sleazy, sexualised inappropriate comments. They’re immature and making such comments both real or in paranormal reality it’s sexual harassment. You don’t see women making these comments. I’m glad as far as I know when you were on Twitch, the comments were respectful. It’s sad to me whenever I hear what a woman’s height is since I’m Korean and I’m only at 5’1” so I’m definitely short especially since even though I’m Korean I live in the US in particular in a county that doesn’t have huge amount of Korean’s so I’m super short compared to everyone else. I also hope that I can Korean or Hangul since I can’t even speak it. I’ve attempted to learn it but had to stop because school started to get too hard for me and I can’t remember stuff like learning languages at all my brain for some reason can’t remember it so very quickly it’s gone.
