Hi Remi - I am a 75 year old grandmother from Texas in the US. I’ve been subscribed for a long time but I’ve never commented. I wanted to tell you how precious you are. I love hearing you talk and you are so mature and together in your thinking. Much more than some young people your age. You are an excellent mother and your boys are going to turn out great. many blessings from me to you

Not sure if anyone has suggested this for the edge of your cabinet, but that trim looks like the iron on kind for Melamine. If it is, you could use a warm iron to remove the whole strip, but some wood filler or Bondo to even the edges out, and then sand smooth the damaged area, and reapply a new strip with an iron and it will look amazing. I’ve had amazing results using a Bondo filler on damaged wood as well. Wish I could seen a picture of some of the stuff I’ve repaired. Once painted, you’d nerve know it was ever damaged

Nothing is more annoying & especially "See through"then, the "put down's & "nastiness"(in Their replies)... Clearly, these are people who don't have what it takes to succeed themselves. So it comes easy to them, to treat Everyone with such Disrespect & Ignorance. Wouldn't you just love to see how They operate Their home & cleanliness?!(just showing up at Their door)!? From the beginning of Their reply. They expose how important it is for Anyone/Everyone, Must stay Clear from. There is Nothing about Them, that you would benefit with Them Any part of your lives. They live Their lives, to destroy Yours. They will Never tell you,"Your doing Great"!.."I wish I had Your Talents"! The Only Opinion that should matter?..Are the Many who Follow You!(because We Already Know,"You Are a Star at what You do")!..The Numbers Don't lie! Do Not give away Your Power. "These Empty people don't have what is needed, "to be a necessary importance to Any Other". Sadly Someone lied to them that,"Your a good Person"?! Don't feel Sorry for Them. They are well aware, of the Evil inside of themselves. That's what brings Joy to Them.. Winning at You loosing. Now that They've been shown, Who They Really Are?..You can go right ahead, and continue to Be You!💕

I am autistic and adhd, attachment parent, bedshared, breastfed for 5 years straight as my youngest two fed until they naturally weaned and I have spent most of that time touched out and overwhelmed by my home. Thank you for making me feel seen. I had so many comments about how I should ‘parent differently if it’s that much of a problem’ and people just don’t understand.

Hi Remi. Grannie Cyndy from South Australia here. Have sent a few comments previously and have already been watching your content. I love who you are, how you think and your attitude to life, housework and parenting...and how you see your role in videos. You are so real and honest in all aspects. Congratulations to you!! I'm almost 72 yrs old and a mum to 6 sons and grannie to 9 grandkids. My house has always been a disaster. I was so ashamed that I was terrified of anyone coming inside my house. It was always full of my boys' friends because I wasn't afraid of them judging me. But I wouldn't let adult friends or even family in. I was so ashamed. And then it became an assumed thing. No one came to my house. We met at a cafe or their place. Now, after retiring from work it's finally getting steadily closer to how I want to be seen...but no one comes here. It's like...I've robbed them of memories of Grannie's house and all her little quirky elements. They've only got to know part of me and thankfully they love me. But I wish I had been as brave and honest as you are, warts and all. Remi, you are truly inspirational!! Love you heaps.

Hi Cyndy, I’m a Mum from South Australia too. I love your honesty in your comment. Wow, you raised 6 sons - you’re amazing and special. It’s easy to find faults with ourselves, especially in hindsight. But truly I think you can celebrate what you did well and enjoy the love and time you have with your family now, including grandchildren. How special. Thank you for caring for and raising your children, I salute you. My Mum raised 6 children too. It’s a very large job. Well done. 👏🏻❤🇦🇺

I totally understand the issue with people putting things on tables or chairs. I don't know if you've heard of this, but for me it's been so transformational. It's called the "Flat Surface Rule." People implement it differently, some do timers where they clear their flat surfaces, some don't put things on their surfaces and implement that as a family. What we do is, I have certain surfaces designated for us to put things on, and then the other surfaces are off limits. That way, I am less stressed and more capable of clearing the others. LOL it sounds weird but it does help.

I can see how your channel has got so big and popular. Your content speaks to the millions of real woman out there who have the same struggles and need the hope and motivation of seeing a real woman tackle a real lived in home. Who wants to watch someone with not a hair out of place clean and already sparkling home? What’s the point?! I watched all your videos now I think. I love watching them the first time to see them properly and then I go off and tackle my space and have you in the background so I can listen to you while I clean. It’s funny I need something in on the background but if I put on a film or a show I end up sat watching even if I’ve seen it before. And if I put on music I end up dancing and singing in to my hairbrush. 😂 But for some reason listening to you is just perfect. My 3 year old was pottering around in the background when I watched this one and she got ever so excited when you mentioned lego land. 🤣 We’ve been this summer too and she would like to know did you love it and did the boys have fun? ❤

Hi Remi❤. I never, ever watch videos to the end. I'm typically bored by 10 minutes in. But you, you have broken me of that habit! I watched until the end and was disappointed it was over! When you said that cleaning a mess is much more satisfying than just wiping up, I felt that. My problem is I wait too long and the mess becomes a bit overwhelming and I put off starting. This old dog (61) is learning new tricks from you and I'm so appreciative. I feel like I have a new friend in you! Remi I was super stressed over something I saw (very distressing video on twitter / X) and I could not sleep at all. It's 4:13am on my birth day 🎂 and I have been stressing out that I'll sleep in. But after listening to your lovely voice which has an upbeat and sweet tone to it, I am feeling relaxed and calm and sleepy. So thank you very much. ❤

You keep your home so clean and tidy. There are 4 people and a dog living in it, it's always going to be a struggle. But you manage it very well.

I just got to the part where you were describing your second thoughts on who would want to listen to you ramble. I usually don't comment because I'm usually listening to your videos for motivation. I just had to let you know that I feel like your channel has saved me. I'm late diagnosed adhd and pretty sure I'm autistic. I've struggled all my life in all areas of my life. This past year, my life has blown up. I'm drowning some days. Your videos, your voice and life struggles and achievements, have saved me. I'm not spiraling to the point of hospitalization (has happened in the past) partly because I have you to help me through my days. Thank you! ❤

Love this spin wheel! I've been doing something similar for years. I have plastic chips, each with one number for a certain room in our house. So the chip I pull is the next room to do my chores. I use this method as a motivator whenever my usual plan paralize me. On occasion for a small amount of chores I use a dice. Keep it fun😀

The game type of cleaning is great. When my kids were young I would have baskets for toys, for them to do as fast as they could placing toys in baskets. I would use a timer and then reward them with a homemade popsicle or fruit loop necklace. It saved my back a lot of bending. I was glad when we bought our house that didn't have stairs. Love the videos, keep it up.

Throwing these idea out in case they work for someone out there. Remi's words always get my brain in gear: -- I had an artist friend who was super practical, who always had an immaculate house. She raised her kids using sleeping bags rather than full sets of sheets and blankets to be made each day. The bags were something she made herself (she made art quilts for a living), of different weights depending on the weather, but it would work well for store-bought bags as well. Super easy for the kids to make their beds and nothing she had to tidy later. I wish I'd known her when I was raising my own kids -- I would have done this for sure. I never could see the point of making a bed-- you were just going to mess it up again, yet I love a tidy bed. - I am exactly like Remi when it comes to housekeeping. I've been overwhelmed by it my whole life. I've since discovered that I lump cleaning into the clutter that needs to be sorted and put away. I pile, because it gets overwhelming -- if I pick up, then I will need to clean as well. It's too much to think about, so I don't do any of it. I have finally learned to separate the two. I can pick things up, but I don't have to clean underneath. I've been blown away at how this has changed my life! This huge massive weight is suddenly lifted and I become functional once more. As far as cleaning, I am also like Remi in that I get a lot of satisfaction in seeing the dirt I am cleaning. Weird, but that's just the way it is and now I can have a presentable home pretty much every day just because the picking up takes just a minute vs. the three hour chunk of my time it robbed me of before. - Another thing that has helped me a lot is a piece of wisdom someone posted online awhile back. It may or may not help you, but for some reason it's kind of re-wired my brain a little: "If you see something that will only take five minutes to do, just do it." So simple, yet so profound. That tiny bit of paper no longer stays on the floor for weeks. That screwdriver cluttering up my kitchen counter for days and days simply, effortlessly, get put away. That magic talent I have of blocking those little irritations out and I don't see anymore used to pile up. It's just one thing over there, right? No big deal..... except they add up and you don't realize how stressful they are until they are put away and that burden is lifted. Five minutes or less. It doesn't have to be an all day long chain of five-minute chunks. A simple one-time thing is enough.

I love the voice overs. Keep it up. You have been so helpful to me Remi. I no longer beat myself up for having an isolation day. I have no friends, my eldest son lives with me and I am unwell, but your videos cheer me up. Love you and your little family. Watching from Australia.

You are doing a wonderful job with two kids, a job, a small house and cleaning. I was once a young mom with two children, a full time job and trying to keep up with it all. Different these days, empty nest, retirement and I love you cleaning, you are a natural, best of everything.

I love your videos. I struggled a lot with an overwhelmingly messy house when my kids were small. I think videos like yours would have helped me feel less alone. They are teenagers now, so it doesn’t get as messy here just because they don’t have as many toys with a lot of parts and they are out of the house a lot. But I just wanted to share one thing that helped me a LOT was to start decluttering as I cleaned. That way it wasn’t two separate and overwhelming tasks. I tried to focus on just one thing at a time. For example, instead of picking up all the toy food and putting it away, still put half of it away, and at the same time put half in a bag to donate or throw away. That way you only have to touch it once, the kids still have all the same toys they are used to, you aren’t taking away their ability to have access to toy food, but you only have half as much left in the house to create a mess. So, over time the messes become much smaller since there just isn’t as much volume. And honestly, my kids never even noticed that a few things were missing, they were just happy to be able to see all their stuff and have a clear place to play.

He is adhd too, so he was challenging. I’m here to say he just started teaching school this year. I’m so proud of him❤️They do grow up so quickly!

My goodness, I'll say it again. I wish I had known you when I was younger. I was such a stressed out mom 2 kids, school, 2 jobs, a big house, dogs, i tried to do everything myself and not split chores with my husband,, and ended being a total failure at everything. I had child protective services called, the police to look at the condition of my dogs, everything and everybody in a terrible state of neglect. Thank you for spreading your positive message!!! I'm a grandma now, and my house 1 room at a time is being decluttered and clean top to bottom

Love the spin the wheel idea!! I am going to give it a try, for myself and for my grandkids. I think they'd get a kick out of it. I really enjoy you talking through your videos (and I enjoy the longer videos), for one it is like having a friend along with me while I'm cleaning and two because I find it interesting to hear how another person thinks through various situations whether it's how or why you clean this or that, or how you handle just normal everyday life stuff. It's reassuring, motivating and even thought provoking. Thank you for just being you!

I am so there!! I have an autistic son and my daughter is definitely neurodivergent although she has no diagnosis. I had no idea that I was neurodivergent until my son was diagnosed and then I began to see things in myself and other family members!! I have struggled for so long and just thought I was rubbish at normal things others manage to cope with. I’m 44 and on an ADHD waiting list. I may be autistic. I don’t know, but I am learning now how to love myself and forgive myself for the past. 😘
Speed cleaning my dads messy house for Christmas!
