Guys…I am very aware that I talk extremely fast in this video. Something to bare in mind is that I am still a relatively new creator in the grand scheme of things ( even more-so when I created this particular video) And it takes time and practice to perfect any kind of craft! When it comes to voiceovers, I am still learning about timing and spacing and trying to improve with each video. I transitioned over here from TikTok, over there the tempo is extremely fast! And that style of voiceover doesn’t necessarily translate well to long form. It can be quite strange (and cringy!) to look back on old videos and see just how much my voiceovers have already improved. Ultimately though, it’s I still stand by everything I said in this video. The topic means so so much to me.

This video made my day ... I am an absolute perfectionist and have laser-focus in my working life, but my kitchen often looks like this one despite me giving myself regular pep-talks about not letting it slide. I absolutely loved your voice-over and it made me feel less judged and a bit less rubbish about myself ... thank you so much!!!! xox

I LOVE your voiceover and timing!! I find the pacing of many creators is too slow for me-I get frustrated and fast forward or change the playback speed then usually stop watching/listening. Yours is refreshing and easy to dive into and engage. Please keep doing what you’re doing! It’s inspiring and empowering as well as enjoyable! Thank you so much!!

This video is pure therapy and what a lovely take on how just because people don’t keep a clean house doesn’t mean they aren’t taking care of themselves - some folks, even if they desperately want to tackle everything, know that other activities that others would consider “side quests” are deeply important to their mental health. I’m sure he’s absolutely thrilled to have someone put so much love and help him with this particular part of his life. It looks absolutely gorgeous and thank you for the motivation from a fellow neurodivergent!! I hope you also get great encouragement and satisfaction from knowing how much positive this does for not only your dad but all of us viewers around the world! ❤❤

@@vivianholliday4338 way to take the time out of your day to spew vitriol on the internet. I hope you never find yourself in need of help in a tough situation - based on your comment I doubt you are able to maintain the kind of loving, genuine relationships that are required to show mercy to others which will inevitably exclude you from also receiving it. Try using the rule- if you can’t say something nice (or aren’t in a position to lend a hand) don’t say anything at all. It’s not difficult for most of us. Also, who watches AND comments on videos they don’t like???? That’s like turning in the TV to watch commercials all day and then writing letters to stations that nothing good is on. 🤣

Wow, you have explained my ADHD in a way that I have never been able to put into words. Maybe because it's one of those things that only us ADHD folks can understand yet have no way to explain to the neurotypicals. My ADHD manifests in executive dysfunction, hyperfixation, task paralysis, and rejection sensitivity disorder - so you summed it all up. The bit about failing your school exam because you were so late... absolutely bonkers to hear someone else talk about these sorts of experiences. Thanks for being vulnerable it makes us NDs feel less alone.

It describes how people are not disabled by their condition or neurodivergence, but they are disabled by the world around them, that is not set up for people like them. I loved hearing about your family and I feel inspired by your pearls of wisdom. What a lovely video, and such a nice way to talk about your dad 😊. Neurodivergence is a thing a lot of people deal with, but not many people talk about. And the way you talk about it is almost poetic. I almost forgot about the cleaning, but great job on that too! ❤

Wow, Remi, I can so relate, lack of affection from parents, overly critical mother, a long time in an out of hospital as a kid. The awful, crippling shyness which I never had until I went home to mother. People misunderstanding me as being snobby when I was actually a pretty nice person, so I kept to myself and still people would pick on me. I DID have friends throughout my life though, once I broke through the shyness. Great job on your dad's house. I remember cleaning my dad's home when I went to visit, so this video is very close to my heart.

Remi...it’s beautiful. I came for the clean but was drawn in by the voice over. Neuro divergence. I know nothing about it. But I see myself in so much of what you said. I struggle every day to complete daily tasks. School was hard. Thank you for these videos. You’re not just helping your dad clean, you’re helping the community that watches and listens to these videos ❤️🇨🇦

I have struggled with social anxiety to such an extreme that I was almost agoraphobic, I could hardly leave my home. I had OCD tendencies - especially when it came to clutter and cleaning (it was the one thing I felt I had control of). I decided to go to college in my thirties. That was one of the hardest things I have ever done - not because I couldn't handle the coursework, but I could not handle walking into a class with other people in it. I couldn't handle working in groups. Not that I actually couldn't, but thought I couldn't. The irony - I joined drama and speech classes, because the anxiety didn't apply to being in front of others. It wasn't that I wasn't good at being social, good with others - most did not know I was terrified on the inside. Fast forward, I have a Master's degree in clinical psychology and am a trauma therapist. I still struggle with feelings of anxiety in social situations, but I know what it is and I know what to do. Anyhow, when you talked about the difficulty walking into that classroom - I have been there! The times that, despite the consequences, I did not enter or do the thing I knew I had to. Even when I knew it would effect my children. It's exhausting to live in that place. Thank you for sharing your experience. You reflect so much of what I think and feel. I am enjoying your videos :) Btw - when I feel awkward, I just say it's (whatever it is that I know is odd about me) part of my charm.

In my household, we have one person who is ASD diagnosed, 2 who vibe in a very similar way and 1 person with PTSD. We all do things in different ways, (each to their own) and I thoroughly enjoyed your conversation today. I like to think of our differences as little creatures that accompany us on our journey through life and I like to try and cater for those creatures as much as for my family members as themselves. In knowing someone's disability, difference, little creatures, this allows us to show compassion, empathy, understanding and to work with all those things to make life happy and comfortable. Your Dad is a talented, hard working man, you are a wonderful supportive family member helping him as you have in this video, this way everyone feels safe, loved, cared for and supported and that's what's important. Sending you so much kind thoughts and wishes.
