Last week I had to spend an entire day in the hospital with my mother who's in the 90s. Showed her the first few laps of an Xmas Random All with the comedy sliding and highlights from Snowfredemption together with some info about Broughy,(marriage etc.). At some point she forgot it was a game and was genuinely worried that the cars were going to crash. I assured her that everyone was fine and not in actual danger. It definitely lightened the mood.

GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #232: The Scruffy Rock . . . . SPOILER ALERT After a race in Clubs, it’s time for Gfred as Broughy returned to the LS Car Meet. He gets out of the garage to check but since he already has it, he goes back in. Blown Tyre asked if Broughy watched Raymo’s clip from the race earlier and now Broughy complains that people have no patience. Espanyol donated “Zearxy save us from your husband please 😊” And Broughy said if she wants to do Gfred with him. After the replay, it seems that he blames the rock (and later the Track Creator) for screwing over Blown’s overtake… and the backmarker too. Norman said “Rockin is racin” Zearxy said “Dude you took him out, intentional or not” Agnewkm said “the wife has spoken” XDW said “Zearxy is already doing a better job than Michael Masi” Dahrk Angel said “Broughy. Sorry, that incident was my fault. It was lagging hard on my screen, and you were all over the place so I just stuck to my line” and so does Blue Demo “Oh. I didn’t realize y’all were behind me like that. This is why I don’t race with the professionals. That is on me, I will take responsibility on that” Blown said "I apologize BlownTyre for being a dirty driver. You are a much better and cleaner driver than me" The Sadnesses “I wasn’t even in the race, but I think it was probably my fault” Everyone is taking responsibility. Bash Brannigan said “As a Canadian I’m sorry too.” Now he begged once more to make those who weren’t in the last Freeroam Season to leave Gfred. Dahrk continued “I know I hit you near the end of the race because it was really laggy for me. I haven't raced properly like that for several years so I'm also very rusty.” That Fish Nerd said “I wasn't in the free roam session and I not in the gfred list either. sorry and I also take responsibility for the crash in the last race.” Everyone is at fault but Broughy. Poor Belligerent said “And still didn't get in. Oh well, my Wi-Fi is acting up so there's a solid chance I'd DC halfway through.” Boxx, the creator said “Yeah thats what I said it’s my fault” The Rock donated “I think it was my fault, my apologies” Now Broughy blames the Rock for Belligerent failing to enter, Allendude disconnecting, Left Hand BSOD’d. Blown donated “Avoid the Rock when you get to Chiliad” Dwayne Johnson donated “Hey! I wasn’t the one standing in between you and your success. I demand you retract those words!” And with that, the race is starting, hoping that he won’t any rocks here. Zearxy donated “Stop ignoring me and feed me!” And Broughy angrily said that there’s plenty downstairs. Verdilith donated “My Fred, Your Fred, Our Fred, GFRED!” just to start the first Gfred in 2022 since PH Gfreds are always different and thus counted as Variant. He still misses a good start however. Though he still did well at the finish, this time, he still resurfaced again, so this is not a good start for sure. XDW donated “Dad joke? Here’s one: What do you call an illegally parked frog? Toad” and it’s much better than what Nightbot provided today. He sees the train over the bridge going slowly to the Quarry. Phil said “Good thing everyone skipped it anyway” Some people go to the right, but Broughy already lost hope on this one, a bad Gfred for him. He saw Diglett and Slipstream already ran away in a 9F. McGregga’s Banshee ran him over, Broughy failed to snatch it in revenge. So he got an old Baller barely avoiding Verdilith’s attempt. Then Verstappen pushed him into getting himself beached at the Barrier. And after she got kicked, tried to steal the Baller from Broughy too. He escaped but he missed a 9F crossing the road, but he’s surprised to get 7th, oh the importance of getting vehicles ASAP. Then he found one just past the Quarry, the Detour is worth it, and getting the roof down too. But he paid the price by having a Baller rammed him, and also GT Driver’s Gauntlet. It’s trashed already. He got wrecked trying to overtake Pagani’s Buccaneer. Now he’s a minute behind Diglett and Unknown Cat who are both probably in 9Fs. And he’s imagining how incredible it is to get the first 9F fresh off the Run. Broughy is not in the good mental state for this, but he pushes through and does his best out of this. He saw Lightly Lagged past the Casino, probably the fault of his old PS4. But the push for Top Five begins, as he needs to keep up with his good streak. He saw the 9F already going back to Chiliad, a massive lead ahead. He thinks some had issues at the Airport, but he landed at a complete stop, and he came out of it in Top 5. He talked about Unknown Cat being the World Record Holder for Solo PS4, so he could be catching to Diglett. But Broughy’s happy to keep Top Five to be on the Records. Flaming said “Unknown has never won a Gfred with other people” which is unbelievable, but they are different beasts indeed. Then Splitstream returned in revenge. Oncoming in his 9F, he caused Broughy to swerved at the highway and hit a pillar, and that incident is an example why Unknown can’t. Then he mistook Mastah in 4th to be in 5th. Karolingus said “You can also reset and go again. If you're speedrunning stream gfreds, you only have 1 chance each 2 months really” McGregga is winning the rail riding Gfred, but upon the train ahead. Broughy tried to swerve past it to the right but he failed realizing that the left is the more correct path. But he managed to outrun the train into the Raton Canyon Bridge. He saw Unknown having some issues at the Summit, while Broughy rolled on the way down from the Checkpoint. He and Bennell avoids destroying each other. But of course, he flipped and slides down the Descent. This has been a very scruffy Gfred… and then a scruffy cliffside rock launched him off into the Sawmill. And he almost stuck in this maze. Well, Diglett’s won, as he rammed into Merphin’s Sentinel. Now McGregga’s in a game of Chicken with Pidpipr at Raton Canyon and Broughy’s stuck behind so he just goes. Then he has to wrestle with Mastah and Slendy Boy too just to escape before the train hits. If he decided to wait, then he has to wait for the train too. Then Lighty also blocked the smaller bridges. And he clipped at a rail-‘rock’ and flipped to the bottom. Then Blackow’s Banshee also made yet another ‘rock’-block. This whole Gfred is filled with crashing into people, having issues, making mistakes, and so on. The Gfred of Old. Left Hand said “Can't believe Ur in 7th” The good Gfreds ends here, and his current positions is even more surprising despite being back to normal. He takes the Elk Leak Skip successfully. He decided to leave the Chat on as he gone sideways at Arthur’s Trail. And this has gone catastrophic indeed, especially to the 9F. The first trashing trying to lower the roof is the start and biggest issue, because it led to a vicious snowball cycle. Death by Thousand Cuts. Then surprisingly Unknown managed to overtake at the last minute, which means the World Record Holder get his first Gfred win. Boxx said Diglett is typing in the chat as Broughy decided to take Hail Mary because why not. Flaming said “He fucked the Hail Mary” But surprisingly, he did the parachute smoothly as he narrowly dodged another car flying and his own car drifting into the water. Poor Slendy died though, he has no parachute. However, Broughy is too low, and despite landing on the island, Mastah managed to snatch Top Five away… by 0,8 seconds. Two times in a row. But to be fair, he didn’t deserve Top Five after all of that, and so here’s the end of the good Gfreds. Although turns out, Unknown actually beat Smashcrash for the Stream Record as well, by 7 seconds. And Diglett could have gotten an even bigger record had he didn’t choke on Hail Mary. And that’s the power of getting a car early, and the beauty of Gfred that it never ends until it does and it can go wrong on so many ways. Merganith said what is already forbidden in the rule of Gfred. He asked if Unknown is in Stratum, but he said that he swapped for Feltzer before Airport. Slendyboy said “I was right behind you at the Hail Mary but didn’t have schute!” Meanwhile, Diglett got 2nd, McGregga got 4th, Verdilith and Verstappen claimed 7th and 8th. Slipstream got 13th. Verdilith donated “I had a nightmare of a start in 28th place, but found a 9f at the Highway and clawed my way back up to 7th. Traffic was insane!!”

GG Unknown! I have been thinking this for a while, the bridge rule is good but it can sometimes be a bit ambiguous as to who got on it first. Perhaps the current rule should still stand, but with the added bit of "if it's close, give way to people coming down from Chiliad/towards the Observatory" as they are fighting for better positions? Sort of like a mini blue flag rule :P

At the end of the run, why not go to the right, jump the center guardrail, and get a car already going the direction you want to go. Plus if anyone goes left, then to the other side, you will have first choice, since they will be "downstream."

Can anyone please tell me if there's genuinely any benefit from dropping the top down on the 9F convertible?... Is the top speed higher by any chance?... I literally couldn't believe that Broughy was more interested in dropping the top down... Than actually racing!... The SUV that smashed into the 9F... He could have easily avoided... Simply by driving away... I'm stunned he did that... Even more so if there's no benefit in the 9F's actual performance.
