A heavy CPKC grain train luggs up the grade from Cross Lake to Ingolf on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. This train was the maximum load for two units. The train was about 20,000 tons and had 166 cars(wagons).
The time was 4:40 p.m.
power was KCS ES44AC 4748 on the head end, and ES44AC 8795 pushing hard on the tail end.
Total axles were 676, or 166 cars, and 2 engines
speed up the grade was 12 mph or 20 kph.
