JoAnn Wiltz responded to this call on the #HopeForPaws line and headed out to save this family. There is a huge colony in the area, and we're working on getting all the feral cats there spayed/neutered and released.
Miya is fostered by our video editor Justin (he named the mama after his favorite Sushi restaurant) along with her babies: Soy Sauce, Bean, and Sprout. They are now all looking for their loving forever homes. Many times kittens get adopted quickly and it takes longer to adopt the moms, and I hope you will share this video so it doesn't happen - she is really sweet and special.

Yeah I had a tear as well but I so love the love these people have for Cats I mean did you see moma cat she was so happy to be straight away ready to feed her babies and you gotta love little Soy sauce and those kittens are all so healthy and playful its a shame that we see such young cats basically kittens having kittens so please people get your cats spayed and neutered and just putting it out there some places if you don't have the money some veterinary services will do free every few months if you look around online you will find them best wishes to you all.

@@marysesiegmanngodet2454 As soon as the kittens are weaned, that's the next thing that happens. No cats (or dogs) are adopted out until they're spayed/neutered first. I'm not sure of their protocol, but in our no-kill shelter, even the kittens are spayed/neutered before being adopted out. The protocol is the kittens are at least two pounds and healthy and eight weeks of age.

Despite what the story alludes, she was NOT a feral. A true feral wants nothing to do with people. This sweet girl was someone's pet - probably the people who were evicted. She was abandoned. Thankfully, H4P rescued her just in time and this sweet baby adjusted very well.
