As a resident it's good to see you enjoying it here ....wonderful . But Malindi suffers terribly from a lack of administration .......as everything is based in Kilifi ,Malindi is essentially abandoned . Did you notice that there are almost no footpaths ? The town is turned into a super highway for heavy trucks ....the streets are full of youth begging as many of them are addicted to the cheap and plentiful brown sugar ( heroin ) . Malindi desperately needs an administrator who cares and has vision to raise this town up and realize it's potential .

You are going so many places in Kenya. It is so great 😃 Lots of useful "showings". I know Malindi but never went to all the places you show However, the last thing I would call Malindi is "vibrant" 🥴 I was told about 20 years ago that Malindi used to be a bustling place. Then came the worldwide crisis in 2008 and onwards. Many Italians left Malindi and Kenya. Now it is looking dilapidated and kind of partially abandoned. It's not very clean. Nothing much is happening, really. But I feel it is struggling to get back on its feet 😉 We need tourism and tourists to come back and set things right. And also the non-Kenyan former residents.
