If you have your main tactic pressing intensity to max, you don't also need to add close down more as an instruction for your players. Only set it to more if your base tactic don't have it maxed out, and you want some players to press harder than you base "level". They will not go pressing max, and then some more, it will just become a redundant instruction. generally never add an instruction that you have already set in your team instructions, add instructions when you want a player to go beyond your team instruction.

It's also works for milan. If you have many options in attacking midfield but only have 1 or 2 dependable striker for whole season, you may try this formation. I only have ibra and colombo as backup striker but can still win league 🤣

Didn't work for me. Kept getting beaten and was continually watching opposition attack highlights. A VERY similar tactic (by Knap) worked wonders in FM19, but not in FM20 unless you are playing significantly weaker opposition. The midfield is waaay to weak defensively. Xhaka has low positioning and is slow and has a terrible attitude (just like real life). Cebalos is very average defensively and is a a Mezalla so spends too much time forward. Opposition who play direct with pass into space have a field day against me with their CM players having time and space into pass it to their wingers who have tons of space because the Arsenal wing-backs are overlapping and crossing from the byline. The opposition forwards and attacking central mids have easy pickings in the box. In attack, Aubameyang is right-footed so doesn't work as a left winger and Pepe is left footed, so doesn't work well as right-winger. Against significantly weaker opposition though, you can score a ton of goals with this tactic.

There's another 4.2.3.1 by knap on page 8 of the knap tactic testing page, its 4.2.3.1 with inside forwards and wingbacks, just be sure to change the DLP to defend instead of support to make it more defensively stable 👍 its also called pilgrimage,

There's another 4-2-3-1 on the fmscout site by knap too mate, also a similar name to this but with two inside forwards and two wingbacks, gets consistent results and possession 👍may be worth giving a look at it , certainly has the wingers getting more involved 👌

@@stevenjinks1520 I am using that tactic, currently with Benfica and I smash every team, home and away. Of course, there are certain games where my best players are tired and sometimes I give a draw or two, but it's very consistent

@@stevenjinks1520 if you want more possession mate but without using knap tactics, if you go on the fm base website there's a tactic called Xavi tiki taka , its a 4231 with inverted wing backs but I get around 65-70% possession on average over a season. Does need more gifted players though so maybe a top 6 team.

Left foot on the right and right foot on the left is a common thing in football. You can cut inside and have a go at scoring that way

not exactly...this has standard defence line so not exactly high press to its full capabilities. High press also isn't an exploit, you can have a high press with the wrong roles and instructions and it simply wouldn't work - RDF

@@fmscout Well the TI's are making it full high press aint it? And ye ofcourse it will not work all the time. But what i have seen from knap's tactics, i think all of them are having high agressive press style. Red bar almost full.

Yeah they’re high intensity but Knap has found a system that is successful and that’s why people use them. We don’t only cover Knaps tactics and I also share my own but they won’t do as good as Knaps in terms of results and some people just want to use tactics that are more than likely to succeed so I try to cater for everyone lol - RDF

@@fmscout Thats true. Its no offense mate. Just noticed the same press using in all those tactics. And Knap's work is amazing, and so is what u guys are doing. Really appreciate it and im sure others do aswell. About the tactics btw, i have felt that before in older fms possesion based tactics were easier to achieve and being succesfull at the same time. It just changed somehow (since fm 18 i think) or it has been more difficult for me perhaps. And what i see now is that those high press are working mostly, it doesnt matter if ur a underdog team and that is kinda unrealistic for me sadly. But i understand that people dont put to much time into tactics and just want a working one to succeed.
