During the grieving period of the biggest loss of my lifetime, this song became a constant friend. The line about "broken hearts and brand new days for you to start all over again" was as meaningful as anything anyone could say. Each day the hurt was still there (and remains), but everyday is another chance. His songs can sound so sad at times, but there is almost always a hint at optimism in there somewhere.
